Do you enable the Player Search System (PSS) every time (or most of the time) you load your Pokemon X or Pokemon Y game? Or do you prefer to be invisible while doing tasks such as hatching eggs or taking on the Elite 4?

I am mostly invisible because my internet keeps disconnecting me all the time. So I really don't bother xD unless I need trades n stuff.

I usually don't use it when I don't need it.
More time to play :D

Yeah. Who doesn't?

I don't, and I find it annoying that you have to manually connect to the Internet everytime you want to do something, even if it's something small like checking the GTS. I wish you could just click GTS and it would save and connect for you. I'd also like for there to be a way to automatically connect to the internet when you start the game. It's also a bit annoying that when I close the 3DS, even for a second, I have to reconnect to the Internet again. Those are my complaints about the PSS.

When im hatching eggs i do like to be invisible, i may take a lot of time trying to get the ivs i want etc and its better for my 3ds battery to. If i use the PSS while im breeding is to get hidden ability pokes in the GTS.

I usually turn on the PSS every time when I feel like doing someone online (GTS, battling, etc.), but usually, I'm invisible. It happens only when doing in-game tasks, such as breeding competitive Pokemon, battling in-game trainers, etc. People bother me with the battle and trade offers, when I don't want to accept them or do something with people, so I usually just stay invisible. Otherwise, I'm online to do some trading, battling, etc.

Like most people who've replied so far, I also only turn it on when I'm trading or on the rare occasion that I battle. I used to always activate it, but I kept getting trade requests and having nothing of value worth trading. Besides, the majority of my time in Pokemon these days is breeding/hatching so it just doesn't make sense until I'm ready to wonder trade off what I don't keep.

I find this drains the battery. I don't turn it on unless I know I'm going to battle/trade or something.

When i play if im breeding then i keep it off so i don't get disturbed. However if i am ev training or just doing nothing i will turn it on so i can battle other players. i don't trade with other most of the time for they always want a legendary for something stupid or a shiny for something stupid.

I prefer keeping it off when I play because random Passerby's are annoying as hell.

It's like a guy can't go 5 seconds without getting a nice, damn.

I normally am invisible, since when hatching eggs I always get some random passerby challenging me when all I have are 5 eggs and a larvesta. It does get very annoying after a while.

I think that is what the Battle Box is for, showing off your team to noobs using Ubers. For instance an unfair battle with Handicaps where I could only use 2 Pokemon while the opponent had 3 (Mewtwo Y, Zygarde, and Yveltal) however my Hippowdon defeated them all. Most of the time if your opponent speaks English and challenges you (and is a Passerby) they are most likely a noob because of the competitive people playing on the Battle Spot/PGL/Friends/busy wouldn't even think of challenging a Passerby (unless they read your play time).

I prefer keeping the wifi off during hatching eggs and elite four because i don't like and don't find it easy playing the 3ds with the charger attached. So to save charge I do that. But if I remember to put the 3ds to charge every night before sleeping I would probably do everything with PSS on.

When I play my pokemon game at the start, I always had it on, it was great for trading and I loved to battle a lot to earn exp..
but then it soon became annoying and I started keeping it off..
trades became frustrating with those with no english skills, don't voice chat, so there randomly showing you pokemon, then they offer one and you take this awesome level 40 pokemon and then they end the trade abruptly...
staying offline in the end seemed best for me.. it needs more balance ..:(

I usally dont bother turning it on because the passerbys are annouying but when I want to trade or battle with someone or if im bored ill just leave it on and see what happens. Another reason i dont turn it on often is because I usally put my 3ds xl on sleep mode and that turns it off.

I only enable it when I want to battle or trade with a friend. Passers-by can get annoying and sometimes bother me though, that why I keep it off most of the time. :p
