Do you memorize your friend code? i did so that it is easy to know if someone wants to add it. but it may not be needed :p

Nah, its kinda pointless.
It's easier to just turn on the 3ds and check it.

I can remember my 3DS friend code, my Wii friend code and my Animal Crossing: City Folk friend code. I don't know why I still remember it all, but I do. I guess my mind likes to remember digits for some reason.

Yeah, it's not like I trained myself to, just sorta happens after a while.

On a side note, I still remember my first 3DS friendcode back from 2011. No idea why.

Nope, I do something more exciting. I take a photo of it on my phone and put it as my wallpaper, just in case everybody asks. The most stupid thing of all, is, that I never remember to take my phone anywhere -_-

I always copy/paste my friend code so no. If I typed it out repeatedly, there is a chance I would have learned it by now. Still, I find it kind of pointless to remember it since I could just open up Reddit or my profile here to copy/paste it :panda:

Yep. I don't even have to remember sense I can type in "3dsfc" and the text turns into my FC.

I honestly don't.:bag:
Thanks to online multiplayer an the Wii U, I don't really use my 3DS Friend Code nor I really friend people that much anymore.
If anything, Pokemon X and Y and this thread are the only reasons why I even think about Friend Codes anymore.
The Wii U made it easier to friend people with just simple requests. :rotfl:

I memorized my first friendcode pretty quickly, but I never memorized my second 3DS' friendcode, and now I can't remember the original one's.

I have memorized my friend code because of doing so many trades on showdown and my friend is easy to remember

No. I keep it in my forum signature. I haven't bothered to memorize it.

I would, but I can't. I have some kind of "selective memory" :p. So, I can remember totally useless things, and not remember important things like my FC. That's why I put it in my signature.

For some reason my FC was branded permanently into my brain. I wasn't even intending to remember it.

Nope, I don't really add anyone anyways. Maybe when I get more online games, but Nintendo Network apparently seems to have overtaken that. Also, I want for my brain to remember school things so I don't turn up to an exam in a year's time and I'm going to write down science-y things before numbers enter my head and all I can think about is my FC. :p

In all seriousness, FC's seem to be dead and I haven't looked at mine in a long time and probably won't need to unless Nintendo actually add more friend features (for example, in the Friends menu you should be able to instant message people and also send photos).

Doesn't really seem worth it, besides my 3DS always being with me when I'm not going to school or something, I have a handful of ways to quickly get access to it.

Plus I don't want to chance remembering that and forgetting my home's number or something. :<

Don't really see a point. I don't have many friends with 3DSes anyway so I rarely register friends.

I remember my friend code pretty easy. I don't know how but I didn't even try XD. I used to trade my codes a lot so yea I guess that counts to. But thankfully for the wii u you get ID's

Nope, I only memorize phone numbers and even those of only important people and my own. The Nintendo FCs are quite hard to remember for some reason.

  • #19
Nah, not at all. Only takes seconds to find out what it is. :p

Memorizing your FC is kinda pointless if you ask me. It's not really important unless you are on a "friending spree". I use my "number memory" for important stuff, like phone numbers, the pass-code to my home, etc. It's easier to just check your FC, since it's quick.
