I never nickname my Pokemon. I have hard time coming up with nicknames, and I'd rather leave a Pokémon un-nicknamed.

Same here. One thing is you can't even change it after you have. xD

I used to call Pikachu 'Sparky' but that was some time ago. xD

I never nickname my Pokemon. I just only caught them all.

I never used to (and still don't) nickname my Pokemon. However, if I'm playing with a friend or I'm doing a re-run of a game, I'll nickname them funny lil' names for the hell of it.

I have a hard time coming up with names myself, and I also prefer the pokemon's names as opposed to a nickname, so I never give them any.

I prefer than actual names better

Same here, I just leave them as they are. No nicknames.

I generally don't nickname, as I have a difficult time coming up with creative ones as well. Sometimes though, when I start a game on a good day, I do at least try. xD

I do for my few mains, no way can I give nicknames to, ummm what is the current pokemon count? :p

I always nickname them. It just feels a lot more personal to me. Well... Except for the pokémons I get from the Safari Zone. Is SAFARI_46 an alright name?!

Nope, I never nickname them. Mainly because I can't think of any good ones. The only times I've attempted was during Nuzlocke challenges.

I nickname mine if I know I'm going to use them.

I've been nicknaming mine on Emerald.

So far I have Marshtomp/ZuZu (yes, PokeSpe ripoff, I know), Kirlia/Estranja, Hariyama/Guy, and Swablu/Alyssa.

xD

I never did until the HGSS generation. Then I started giving everyone wildly inappropriate nicknames. As you could guess, many were automatically renamed when I transferred them to my Y game.

I never nickname unless I've been traded one with a nickname to me.

I keep all my Pokemon with the original name. If I had a nicknames Pokemon, it'd be because of a trade.

I nicknamed my competitive team, but I don't normally nickname my Pokemon. It takes so long to plan the competitive team that I have time to think of the nicknames. I don't have time on a normal playthrough to put that much thought into it.

Every time I have played a Pokemon game I will think hard for a nickname for my main Pokemon but any side Pokemon I will not name. I find it fun to have a cool nickname for the Pokemon you are going to be using the most and will be seeing the post. I always make sure the name resembles the type of Pokemon in some way or another though, I don't want it to be called 'Fire' if it was a water type Pokemon.
