The Zelda series have been mainly on the mideval time period. What other times or locations do you think an enjoyable Zelda game could take place.

I think it should just stay as it is. If Nintendo decides to change it, it will ruin Zelda forever ;-;

I don't think they would ever change the time period because it's settled into fans' minds so much. A modern-day Zelda would be very steampunk and cool - because it would have guns! :D - but I doubt old fans would like it. Also, Zelda is one of the many franchises whose setting is influenced by The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings books and to change the time period would be to take away the similar theme of a pre-industrial green world where good fights evil.

maybe a zelda game at in the future where like ganodorf uses a time machine to go i. the future and conquer it and link has to go after him

No, I believe that Zelda should take place in the Medieval Time period and stay that way. The games already have some futuristic weapons (not really) and some technology, such as Goht. It can be hard to believe that Zelda will take place in the future, with Link using a flying car instead of Epona.

Medieval like setting is a part of Legend of Zelda franchise's theme so you really can't take it away without doing some major changes and fans (or at least I) wouldn't be so pleased about that
Also I'm not sure would it be called Zelda game anymore when gaming mechanics would be so different

Well now, take a look at Pokémon Conquest. Being a crossover game with Nobunaga's Ambition, it took the characters of Samurai Warrior 3 and rather than putting them in their usual setting of feudal Japan, they are rather placed in the Ransei region where they live and battle with Pokémon. In fact, some places and the clothings of some characters have a futuristic look to it. So even if Nintendo did or didn't change the theme of The Legend of Zelda, I'm very open to what they could do.

In my opinion, Zelda needs to stay in its time period, as changing this up would result in a serious debate among fans. I personally think that it fits just fine in the Medieval period, and simply does not need to have a "modernized" game, unless it was done in a very specific manner, perhaps one such as the "Born to be Wild" concept that was seen after the release of Breath of the Wild.
