Do you think you PlayStation plus/Xbox live gold should be required for purchased online games.

This might sound like a weird question, but I’m sure it’s turned many people off on Xbox/ps4 that if you wanted to play an online only game like overwatch, you are required to purchase ps plus/Xbox live gold just to play it, which imo is dumb, since you’re paying for the game, so why would you have to pay for other stuff just to play the game?

I’m in absolute agreement with you, online “pay to play” is unbelievably stupid.

Take Fortnite: Save The World for an example. Even if you don’t play Battle Royale and just want to enjoy StW for all its glory, you can’t. Yep, Xbox will literally force you to buy Xbox Live to play an offline game. Just because it’s associated with BR in any way, you can’t play it without Live. It’s honestly pretty stupid, hence why I haven’t gotten around to buying it yet.
