Do you use Rare Candies/Joy Seeds?

Do you ever use rare candies whenever you play a (main) Pokemon game? Y'know, the item that gives one level when you use it on a Pokemon :p Or in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series where the Joy Seed has the equivalent effect.

Personally I never really use these items because it never occurred to me that I actually had them xD

I only use Rare Candy to temporarily raise Pokemon pre Elite Four for finding IV's and seeing how close a friendship evolution Pokemon is to evolving (i.e. Togepi). Other than that no, I don't use them.

In main games, personally I used Rare Candy from time to time, whenever I feel like I have maxed out the EV in my Pokémon, since it doesn't feel right for me to level them up via Rare Candies while the stats are not strong enough.

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, I rarely used Joy Seeds, but then, I'd use them whenever I feel the time is right.

I rarely use them with some exceptions

I never have used mine until later this week during my B-Day week. I am Masuda method breeding for shiny beldum I have been doing it for a long time but no shiny but hey that is Masuda breeding for you. I also will breed for a female snorunt (not shiny) and level that up. I have a 14 rare candies from the Pokemon Global Link at the Pokemiles shop. So half and half. I am getting shiny beldum and snorunt at that lvl so I don`t have to worry about training them. Plus my (someday to be) shiny torchic is going to be level 7 after beating May so why not my Pokemon from X be lvl 7. Also I know I can get snorunt in ORAS but I don`t feel like waiting in shoal cave and wait until the water is gone then find it I am impatient. I am getting shiny beldum because I missed the shiny event so I have to get it myself by breeding (yay).

In Pokemon X I used a Rare Candy only to evolve Sliggoo into Goodra as I didn't had so much patience to battle with wild pokemon/switch train. On the other hand in AS I didn't use it at all >.>

I always keep my Rare Candies until the end of the game. I divide them so each Pokémon gets the same amount, or I even out their levels. I guess you could say I want to get the most bang out of my buck (since higher levels require more EXP), and this is pretty much the only way to use them effectively in Nuzlocke runs, as that'll be the team you're bringing.

I've used Rare Candies a number of times before. I used up a few in Diamond and I'm not even sure why I used them because my Empoleon was at a fairly low level, all of them in White to get my Galvantula up to Lv.100 after it was Lv.85 or 90 but most notably I use Rare Candies in Blue because you can clone them and easily get level 100s which is great but then your Pokémon lack EVs so I guess you have to give them some vitamins.

Rare Candies are kind of hard to find, but it's a bit easier these days with the Battle Resort or whatever you use to trade BP for them.

I usually use my rare candies to level up my Pokemon when they get to the high 90s levels where it takes forever to get enough exp to level up to level 100. It's a nice convenience!

I use rare candies from time to time, when I'm feeling lazy and training up my team. I only find a couple or so. Might as well make full use of them. I've never picked up any joy seeds in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series though, I don't think. They must be super hard to come by. xD

Well that depends. If I get board with trying to level up a Pokemon and I have some rare candies Ill use them. But if I'm not board Ill just level him up regularly. One time I cheated with an action replay and put 999 rare candies on my ds and leveled up all my Pokemon to max level 100. This was on Pokemon platinum. :panda: :) :) :) :) :panda: .

I only use rare candy because it is much easier to level up Pokemon that is at least level 85.And I barely get them cause i don't know where to find them. But I occasionally find it useful.

I use them all the time :D you may wonder how, and ill tell you. I use powersaves from time to time to get them. yes it is kind of cheating, but i already beat the game before i even heard of powersaves. It is sooo helpful, especially when raising competitive pokemon

Me, i tend to go back and forth on this one. Typically i try to save these items for later in case i want to level high and fast for personal reasons. Im not one to be in a hurry very much though, not with video games anyhow. What i usually do is just use the items later if i want to just for laughs. As for leveling easier i personally prefer using simple tactics such as grinding or just "rematch" trainers per say, when i say this im referring to a personal trick i taught myself where i battle a trainer like normal but instead just beat all but their last pokemon and then just let them beat me from there. In other words, i just use the trainer for a slight xp boost. Yes, i am well aware that the term risk and reward applies here, given your pokemon retain the xp (if i said that right) but you lose some money for the failure to win here. From me personally, i think this pays off in the long run if youre patient and persistent enough, even though its not the greatest trick out there. Its fairly simple leveling in the games if you just be patient and use simple tactics as i described above, no need for excessive amounts of rare candies, especially with the recent gen 6 games where leveling is considerably easier than in previous games.

I am using them on the adventure sometimes, in most of the cases before the Elite four, but I also use them if I'm lazy to level up my Pokemons, I have alot of Rare Candies from the Global Link so it's easy.
