I know DVDs from other regions can indeed work on other region's Blu-Ray systems, but does the same apply when you have a Blu-Ray disc inserted in a system from a different region than the disc's?
I plan on asking from my father in Europe a Blu-Ray copy of a movie that didn't come out in Brazil(the movie I'm wanting was released in 2009),as no Portuguese dub was made.My Blu-Ray system is american by the way. :pompus:
I'd be curious to know about how it works, please?

Well, good for you to expand you horizons of movies out of your own country, give me one minute to do a google search... well there are 8 region codes for DVD's, but 7 is not used and 8 is for airplanes, so technically there are 6. It would appear that certain movies can and others can't, so if you want to play a european movie in an american blue-ray player, it will most likily not work. HOWEVER, there are ways to bypass the region lock, but these are very technicle and you will have too google it. By curiousity, what movie is it?

So what you're saying is that most of these movies have a code that I'll have to enter in order to watch said region-locked movies and that if else doesn't work, there are still other ways to do so,but harder?I hope this doesn't mean I'll have to attempt to hack my television in order to do so. :panda:
Oh,and the movie I'm pointing out to is essentially making me just giving more attention to the franchise, but either way,it's Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva.I admit that I've already seen it twice online, but I think I just sort of have to own it as a fan in retail version. :p

Omg I bought it like 2 weeks ago, loved it, if it doesn't work just know they sell it on eBay for $4, any region.
