I mean, It's mostly top-down and kind of looks like a 2d zelda (except for the train parts). And no, having 3d graphics doesn't count, ALBW is also counted as 2d zelda but it has 3d graphics

The game is not 2D. The game uses 3D models. You move in a 3D environment. How could it possible be 2D, even if it's slighty top-down? And where did you hear that A Link Between Worlds is 2D? From what I've been hearing about it at the time it's announcement, it's just going back to it's 2D roots.

Why did you C&P our comments?

Having played the game, majority of the bosses have a third person/3d perspective and most other aspects are also 3d. The graphics are 3d (though not the best ones around) and also the models (as said by Elkh). It would be hard to consider Spirit Tracks (or Phantom Hourglass) a 2d game.

It sure looks 3D to me. I personally haven't played spirit tracks, but I know a 3-dimensional game when I see one. xD

It looks 3d to me. There's nothing about it that actually seems 2d.

3d zelda, certainly. Played the game, probably the best graphics on the ds. All the textures looked fantastic and for a ds game, it looked great. 2d games are like new super mario bros. Literally, 2d dimension. Any world where you travel is 3d. For instance, almost all nes games were 2d, with star fox being the only 3d game.

I'd count it as a 2D game simply because it's going back to the old style top-down Zelda, but yeah it's pretty much 3D.

Spirit Tracks is a 3D Zelda game though and through. For that matter, even A Link Between Worlds, which plays like a 2D Zelda, is actually a 3D Zelda by the definition of what a 3D game is (That is, one that uses 3D models instead of sprites to display the game and its colors).
