Dr. Luigi

Heard of it already just today , saw it actually gameplay footage , it didn't look fun at all to me since I played Dr.Mario before on the GBA... xD
 
Well, this was definitely a welcome surprise in today's Nintendo Direct. I've never played Dr. Mario before, so I'm sure I'll pick this up in time.
 
That's kinda interesting. We haven't really seen a Dr. Mario game in who knows how long now, so it's kinda nice that they're bringing it back with LUIGI

In fact it has been more than 5 years or even maybe more I can't remember lol xD at least the graphics looks better than the old Dr . Mario xD but the gameplay is still the same.

Dr. Mario Online Rx came out in 2008.

however old it is, I'm pretty sure it was more popular around the days of Melee, when Dr. Mario was its own character on the roster. However, I don't think Dr. Luigi will appear as a character anytime soon

why not as a alternate costume for Luigi as in the case of wario in brawl that could be great !

Alternate costume is a possibility, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. I mean, Wario was an exception mainly because he had his own huge game series (Warioware) and was a Mario character. Dr. Mario isn't as big as Warioware last I checked

Haha! I just read the article and then I saw this thread so I clicked on it... I do not think I will buy this game. Will it be the same Tetris-like thing as in Dr. Mario? If it is I am not buying it, I thought it would be more like Surgeon Sim.

I couldn't see this being like Surgeon Sim at all. The article says that it will be like the classic Dr. Mario game, so yeah it's definitely going to be a Tetris-like thing

It's most likely the same moving functions in the game but the graphics will be much more detailed in the game and with Luigi , a better remake of the game but with Luigi only :p you should see the gameplay footage then.

well they have two alternate forms for Wii Fit trainer for the next SSB, maybe this will be something avaliable for all the characters ( like samus having other m suit AND the super metroid suit ! )

returning to subject : has anyone tried the online multiplayer of a dr.mario game ? how does it play like ?

Perhaps they could but such things don't apply to every character if you think about it

There's an online multiplayer for Dr. Mario games?? I did not know that

Dr.Mario and germbuster ( online RX in USA ) had a multiplayer but I didn't get a player to play online with so I don't know how multiplayer plays like, I think Dr.Mario for Dsiware also had a multiplayer feature !

No, I'm saying that while they could, most characters don't even have an alternate form, so it's kinda rare that they'd offer it. Wii Fit Trainer is an exception, not a rule.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Dsiware Dr. Mario had a multiplayer feature. Did the multiplayer allow you to connect to the internet?

I haven't really played a game in the Dr. Mario series myself, but they do look quite interesting. I'll probably pick up Dr. Luigi when I have the money.

Guys... I just came from Youtube and two guys are trying to convince me that this game should be $5 at most and that a similar game could easily be made for iOS for a $1. They then threw in that Candy Crush is head and shoulders better than this game. Thoughts, guys?

Well something like this certainly seems the way to go for a Year of Luigi related thing, its also not clever in the slightest. Ha.
