What is the best drawing game/app for 3DS? I see Art academy is the best so far but I almost wanted to get Comic...(something maker?.......I forgot the name) and many other artistic games. Which one should I get? What would be better for animating/artistic expression?

I think that the best game for an artisitic expression would be Art Academy , since it has many more resources and tutorals of many basic things than other most drawing games . Comic Maker is good for creating comics basically and there is Flipnote Studios 3d for animations , so I think the best would be Art Academy :D

I really like flipnote 3d. I haven't played art academy but I think I should try it. But you have to have a club Nintendo account to get it.

You can't go wrong with art academy, you really can't espiecally the only for the 3DS. There's also pokemon art academy, flipnote 3D and my gosh, nobody has mentioned colours 3D. Colours 3D makes even the worst of artists look like pablo picasso xD

I'm getting Art Academy as soon as I can!! Should I get it for Wii U or 3DS?

If you get it on 3DS, go with Pokemon Art Academy. There are more tools coming with it, and unlike Art Academy, you don't have to buy them as DLCs.

For Wii U, well a new Art Academy is coming out soon i think? And it would probably be easier for you to draw on a gamepad than on a 3DS.

Colors! 3D is good too from what I heard @Faithy has it I think.

The one I own is Pokemon Art Academy and I really love it, it works really well and even though it's pokémon themed, well you still have the free draw mode where it doesn't matter if you draw a pokémon or not :p

Sunny's right. I do have Colors! 3D.

Colors! 3D is basically a drawing application with different canvases (spelling..?) for the 3DS, you can draw anything, with any color because it has a color pallette. This isn't for everyone, though, and takes some time getting used to.
Colors! 3D also has a special Gallery to upload your art, you can also make friends there. :)

I'd say that you should get Colors! 3D, it's 6$.

I can't say much about other drawing applications because I've never owned the rest.

Also the name you're looking for is Comic Workshop I think.

Thanks! I'm kinda wondering more now though:I know now Art Academy Home edition(?I keep forgetting the name)AND Comic Workshop 2 are coming out so more people will gravitate to play them and It'll be more chances to lad stuff fr everyone to see but Colers 3D is closer to my price range....I... it might not... but it's still cheaper
The question is,there's still many people using Colors 3D or should I wait?

The community is REALLY active!

Good choice! BUT, know that you won't have tutorials in that one, unlike Pokemon Art Academy! But you can find some on youtube and whatnot I think?

Just in case you didn't get it yet, here you go.

In C3D you have to draw (duh. :p) so it has many different controls.

1. Lines.
Of coruse to draw you need to make lines, if you click L and you will see sizes of your selected brush (any size possible) next to the opacity bar. (The sizes are on the left, opacity on the right, all on the right side of the touchscreen). You can see a big pallet of every color on the rainbow, with every shade. Pick your desired color :D. There are 3 brush types, normal, air brush, and ... Whatever the last one is. :3 They're all pretty cool, so I advise that you check all of them out ASAP. Once you're odne doing this, you can click L again and begin drawing! Yay! :D

2 Canvases.
I should've put this before the lines one but eh. :p When you click "New Painting" after opening the Colors! 3D application, you'll be brought to a screen with 3 canvases, Widescren (Exactly as big as the top screen of your 3DS), Landscape (Slightly smaller than Widescreen, mostly used for Landscape drawings), and Portrait (Even smaller than the Landscape canvas). Pick the one you want to use and get to drawing!

3 Layers.
Layers are just like different pieces of invisible paper. You can use the to easily color and shade something you're drawing, or draw over it. They're very useful! ^.^ They're also, hard to explain, sorry.

4 Gallery.
The Colors! Gallery is a place to upload your artwork once it's fully done (or as a wip!) to get Likes, Follows, or Comments! You can also befriend people you see at the Gallery! :D If you see a mature piece of artwork, or if you're being bullied, please do not fight back and report the bully (also report the mature painting >.<). Together we can make Colors! 3D a beautiful place. :D

So that's basically it. Bye o/

I need some more money and when I get it I'll report any mature pictures! One more thing can you edit existing pictures or they must all be from scratch?
