What is the dumbest mistake you have ever made while playing smash bros? Mine would be air dodging at the ledge while after my up special

Most of the time, pushing the stick in the wrong direction or missing from a few millimetres the button I wanted to push.
Which results in me doing the wrong attack or missing the ledge sometimes.

Sometimes I mess character I'm playing with character my friend is playing and push controller to wrong direction and that's annoying

Being arrogant enough to jump of the stage on purpose when im certain I would win, and then lose -_-. Also, I once did a really stupid thing. I was having a match in for glory that lasted so long that it almost became a sudden DeathI had ca 175 % damage. When the 5 Seconds left sign was on the screen, I prepared for sudden Death, and taunted. Then my opponent (King dedede), used his gordo throw attack while I was taunting, and launched me to Death...

probably when I hit myself once with PK thunder (being Ness) and falling off the stage. Can't even recover/get back on the stage. It's pretty easy to dodge and kinda predictable which doesn't help at all. When it hits, it hits hard! xD

It sucks xD. But I think Ness got the hardest recovery to Control. I dont use Ness often, but when I use him, I try to avoid getting off the stage because I cant use his recovery. Either I miss With the Thunder spark and falls Down, or when I manage to hit myself from the wrong direction and meteor smashes myself xD.

One thing that I always do is that I try to spike opponents but end up helping them. Here is an example. Yesterday, I was playing Super Smash Bros. Melee. I was using Marth and I went up against a Level 9 Link. We both had one life left. I had a nice combo going. However, I decided to show off a little. Why not? I am bound to win. So I managed to Dance Blade in midair and knocked link off the stage but he didn't get KO'd. To ensure one, I jumped off the stage, mistakenly used Dancing Blade again and hit him: not enough for a KO but for him to be able to use is up+B move to recover. Needless to say, I died in the process. For someone who uses Marth most of the time, I this is not a good habit to have.

Using risky moves like Peach's side special (Ha-cha!) or Little Mac's Jolt Haymaker too close to the edge and then missing.

Using an up-B attack whe I'm already near the top of the screen... I've lost count of how many times I've K.O.ed myself by doing that...

I use Little Mac on Final Destination.

I like Little Mac's Side-B attack.

I die.

I tried to use counter every single time without using any other attack in a match while playing as greninja. Needless to say, I lost horribly.

I'd have to say using Meta Knights' special attacks in a For Glory match. I am not very experienced with meta Knight, and as a result, I get carried away by the availability of Special attacks. If you use Meta Knight's special moves near a ledge an you fall off, it's basically over. Meta Knight enters an unstoppable freefall into the abyss below. I rarely used those oves outside of recovery now.

I basically spent a whole battle trying to dance dash (or dash dance, I forgot) on a 3ds, and then also totally just..didn't shield for another game

I was finishing of an online player in a 1v1 session in for glory. And i accidently did the Up and B smash when i was in the edge and i fell of stage. the character i was using was Lucario so you guys know how fast he does the Up and B smash when you are at 150+%

As Toon Link, I would sometimes d air myself to death while trying to meteor smash, especially when it's right next to the edge.

I let people hit me because I know I'm going to win after I lose my stock. More serious mistakes involve approaching too close, challenging edge guarders with an up air, and rolling into attacks (which doesn't seem to happen that much but if you can find a shiny Pokemon you can catch me rolling and punishing).

Mine will have to be using back slash with Shulk to get back on the stage when I get knockoff the stage.I always end up loosing a life/point.

There was one time while I was Bowser Jr. battling a Pikachu in a For Glory match. At one period of the battle,I was falling of the stage, and I tried to recover using Jr.'s recovery special, but that Pikachu kept using his neutral special attack on that same ledge(It was on the Tomodachi Life Omega stage),and since I couldn't use his recovery attack again, because of that,I lost one stock of mine.I should have been more careful while recovering at that time. :panda:

I tried going for my up special to get back up onto the stage but got double suicided by a downward bowser. It was my most embarassing moment. It still haunts my dreams.
