Nintendo confirmed today that their E3 will only be just streamed game play of Zelda Wii U/NX. It's still hard to believe that Zelda will be the only game at E3. Will Nintendo have a Direct to replace E3? Or is 2016 an empty year for Nintendo fans?

No digital event has already been confirmed

They already said they aren't doing a Direct or Digital Event this year. Maybe we'll get a micro Direct sometime before or shortly after E3 though

Lost hope for Nintendo this year. Either they're heading in the wrong direction or they're hiding all the good stuff from us.

I'd like to think their being secretive. They might be working on something big aside from the NX.

Being secretive would be quite idiotic. How long should they keep a so called secret? Nintendo has once again never learned from their mistakes. I bet that the Nx will be delayed to holiday season along with the new zelda.

Sadly, Nintendo has seriously been going in the wrong direction. I won't be so surprised if the NX is the last console Nintendo makes.

Nintendo has been setting things up perfectly so that the NX will be a success. They're doing the right things.

They are really keeping their quiet. Still with all upcoming games, I'm sure they'll break silence eventually.

Very funny, I hear people like surprises. Also, the reason for being so secretive is so that their competitors dont try to copy or compete with their ideas. Remember the PlayStation Move? Also, the reason that I believe that the Wii-U has no games coming up is because Nintendo realizes that the Wii-U is a dying system. Which means that all of their good games can be moved over to the NX. Also, youre mistaken if you think that the NX is their last console. Theyve made too much money off of games to simply quit.

I have to disagree with you. They don't have a lot of money, yes a profitable amount but not really enough to keep on moving on.What I mean is if the NX fails, it will be Nintendo's last console.

What do you mean competitors will copy Nintendo? I don't think anyone will copy what Nintendo does with their gimmicky controllers and such. Sorry, but there is no point not revealing the nx at this point. Nintendo is being pure idiotic not showing it at E3. My point is, so called "suprises" are only good when they are revealed a short time after it has been announced. Nintendo has announced the Nx last year and has barely said anything about it. E3 is the most viewed show for video games, so as a business, what Nintendo is doing is not really smart.

The Wii u games they are currently releasing (besides Zelda u) are still coming to the Wii u this year by the way. There are still a few wii u games that are coming out before the NX. You know how complicated it is to move games to the NX? It takes quite a lot of coding, so even if Nintendo tried, it simply would be impossible.

This console is replacing both the Wii u and the 3ds, so marketing is pretty much crucial at this point.

Also, they announced the NX because they revealed that they were making smartphone games. They didnt everyone to think that they were going to stop making consoles, so they announced the NX. That being said, they are probably still working on it, and they will definitely show it when its ready to be shown. Also, have you seen this?

This is a PlayStation Move controller. Does it look a bit familiar? It came out 4 years after the Wii. Also, Microsoft created the Kinect in response to the Wiis controllers motion-control success.

Lol, have you seen how old those sources are? That is from 2012 and 2014 respectivley, 4 years and 2 years ago. Sorry, but unless you provide me a source that Nintendo that is doing well now, which they aren't, nothing about my opinion will change. You failed to convince me big time, especially giving such unreliable sources that are seriously old. This again, proves my opinion is justfied.

Dude, the Playstation Move came out way after the Wii came out. If the Nx has a concept that Sony or Microsoft likes, they will simply mimic it later on even when the Nx is already released. Nothing will change keeping it a secret when the whole console is coming out in March of 2017.

Not showing the console at E3 is really stupid of Nintendo I am sure the NX will be their last home console.

Do you know how much money they have lost in those past 2 years? Clearly not enough for them to go bankrupt anytime soon. They still have the Wii-Us and 3DSs out in the market, even if they are selling poorly. You have no evidence to suggest that this is their last console. This happened during the Gamecubes era. It was a commercial failure, and it flopped hard. But low and behold, the Wii comes along and Nintendo is back in the game again. Nintendo doesnt give up, they succeed because they try new things, even if they dont work out. They have the money to make things like the Wii-U and have it fail. Again, you have no evidence that suggests that they will stop making systems. I gave you a source, albeit a bit outdated, but you cant give me anything that proves my point otherwise.

You are absolutely incorrect, and you have no evidence that Nintendo is even making much money or will be successful in any manner. Go ahead, examine Nintendo's financial results. They are never that good, usually just a very small profit.

The gamecube sold double the wii u did, and it has a much more successful handheld then the 3ds did (gameboy advanced). Companies like Nintendo can't make consoles forever. People have moved on to Sony and Microsoft, the days of Nintendo are over and Nintendo themselves know that. The only modern console that was successful was the Wii, which is a dead console that casual gamers pretty much bought for no reason.

I have a lot of evidence, and if you bother reading what I am saying, perhaps you would know that too. Nintendo is pretty much done if the NX fails, they can't keep failing and staying as a company forever.

Most likely, the NX will fail. Not even revealing the console is idiotic, and I honestly dont think they will make consoles at all after the NX.

My evidence is based off of STATISTICS.

Oh yeah, by the way, Nintendo skipped their financial results for this month. They are doing that crappy.
