I have recently heard of english dubbed SNK episodes airing on adultswim, and I am not sure of what to say of this. You see, I finished season 1 on english subs for translation assistance, and it was very good. I am wondering of the english voice actors are ready to take on the challenge of taking such a plotwise and setting heavy epic?

NONONO!!!
English dubbed anime's are never NEVER good.
Look at Naruto and Bleach they sound awfull.
The only anime that sounds good in english is in my opinion DBZ

If you don't like it you don't have to watch it. I'm not an anime fan but I don't see what's so bad about this? There are some people who prefer English dub, and there's no reason to take this away from them just because you prefer English sub.

I never said that they shouldnt watch it I only say that I dont like may be over reacted lol

It's pretty good, in my opinion (though I love the Titan screams in Japanese, they should've done like Pokémon and don't change it, they sounded scary in Japanese:)) Eren is how I pretty much pictured him sounding at least when he's older, I was worried about Armin but his voice fits (and not to mention he shares a voice actor with Lithuania who acts just like Armin).

I think it takes some getting used too :)

I watched it in Japanese first then a couple in English. The dubs were actually pretty good, nothing to complain about(except they don't say Eren in the same awesome way the Japanese did)

Dubbed anime always scared me. Especially when they use the same voice actors over and over again!

I always made my friend laugh when I told her Eren sounds like a 34 year old version of Naruto and Ash Ketchum combined in the dub.
It is pretty bad

The Attack On Titan dub is honestly pretty good, I LOVED Eren's voice actress and most of the of the other characters sounded on point too (especially Mikasa :cat:). Funimation has a pretty good reputation in the whole proper dubbing thing in that they literally only change Japanese words to English and not much else. (they occasionally call Sake beer but thats forgivable lol)
All in all 8/10 in my opinion :D:p

Frankly, I'm more afraid of a live-action AoT.

Are you one of them Sub elitists? I don't hate a lot of people but your kind is very high on my list. Always complaining that "dubs" will never capture the complexity of japanese media. jfc I am butthurt over this.

I can't agree more. It's already a difficult thing to animate, but that sort of action in live action would cost a lot and look kind of stupid most likely. Capturing their expressions would be damn tough too.

And look they have already started work on one... *whispers to avoid fanboy/girl rage* It looks terrible.

Just gonna give my two cents here, the dub is good as far as voice acting on dubs go, though the scripting, or voice direction, is a bit strange in my opinion... Also, Armin sounds like an abridged character at some points. :)

I didn't like this dub that much. Armin sounded like such a baby compared to the sub. Erin and Mikasa sounded okay but it was just really weird re-watching this with their voices sounding more..exaggerated.
I'm not one to hate dubbed animes cause honestly I prefer them but that doesn't mean they're always good.

Not really a fan of the dubbed versions of anime...I, personally, wouldn't watch it because I just cannot stand dubs, like at all. ;___; Unless they're good, for example DBZ and Death Note (based on personal preference of course). If they manage(d) to make this sound good I'll be very impressed.

Well , though I prefer English Subs , I didn't really find the English Dub very bad really . Sure there were a few major changes with the voice ( because they sound really weird ) but it's not all that bad . I began now enjoying watching the Dub now :p
