image.jpg So this is my PC, taking an IT class but I still don't know to much about PC's and whats inside them. So I'm thinking about picking up gta 5 and a usb Xbox controller for use on this laptop. Do you think it can handle it?

If it's worth mentioning I got a virus on my PC a while back and I ran it through malware bytes but whenever I click on a link in chrome A lot of times it either takes me to a random webpage or to a windows service chat room but otherwise it works well. I haven't seen any difference when I run asphalt 8, it runs perfectly with 60fps even online, and I'm gonna download hearthstone and see if it works as well. Do you think it will run gta fine?

You should also post what GPU it uses since that's the most important thing for PC gaming. 4GB RAM should be enough.

Also, Steam now has a refund policy you should check out so you can buy games safely without worrying about losing money when purchasing a game you can't run on your PC. There is a time you have to request the refund by, though.

well in general my computer is pretty close to yours in specs (same processor and system type) and i can run most of the recent games just fine, stuff like xenoverse, most of the AC games and shadow of mordor too.
the only difference is that i have 8gb ram and that makes things run quiet smoother, though on the other hand your processor has 2 cores so that should help you immensely.
basically your pc should run most games massive games might want more ram than 4GB.

I don't think you can run GTA V no. Here are the minimum requirements:

  1. Minimum specifications:
    • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs) / AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs) @ 2.5GHz.
    • Memory: 4GB.
    • Video Card: NVIDIA 9800 GT 1GB / AMD HD 4870 1GB (DX 10, 10.1, *11)
    • Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible.
    • HDD Space: 65GB.
    • DVD Drive.
From what I see, you probably have this one:

Graphics Card:Intel HD Graphics

Which makes me think that even with low settings you might lag a lot...

I'm saving up for maybe an Alienware 13, either that or an asus. I was just curious to how this thing would run with bigger games, and now I know so thanks :)

Did steam always have a refund policy?

I honestly think your PC will shut down, explode, and angrily roam your house if you try to run GTA 5 on that thing. sorry bro, the most you can run will probably be Minecraft with minimal lag.

If you are looking to buy a Gaming PC, I would look into...
-CyberPower
-iBuyPower
-Lenovo
-Alienware
-Acer Aspire
-Alienware Alpha for all Steam Games

Hope this helps! The only battle for Gaming PC's are really the prices. Good Luck!
