I have always been fascinated by some Cosplay conventions/shows, and I hope that one day I will be able to go to one and experience some really cool costumes and have a great time. Any users here ever been to a cosplay? Do you plan to, and state your reason why.

I wish that here, where I live, had Cosplay conventions, anyways if I were to go one, I will want go as:
a Night Elf (Warcraft)

Now I would imagine how expensive those costumes above cost, so it will be better if to go as something more simple, like Louise from "The Familiar of Zero" (posted a pic of her below) If you were to go in a Cosplay convention, who/what will you be ?

Wow, sounds like a lot of fun, hope you have tons of fun :). I am always fascinated by cosplay parties, why did you choose Alice ?

No and no. Sadly I never find that stuff here and for most of the people it's a bad thing (for the society)
For the other way, there is a lot of insecurity, so someone can steal me the dress (chance of 60%)

Well here, I don't think we view it as something bad for society is just we don't have the proper resources to host a cosplay convention, and barely people will show-up (I think) because the money that cosplay costumes fare at, and what do you mean someone can steal you the dress ?

There are a lot of cosplay convention in my country, even in the city I've been living. In my university, there's a bunkasai held by Japanese Literature department and there's always cosplay section.
The most interesting thing I want to see is how cosplayers make their own costume, because sometimes it takes great effort. In the cosplay convention held last week, a man cosplaying as Evangelion robot said to me that it took two months to get the costume ready.

Well, I only like to attend and watch. It needs money, really, and as a man my height is relatively short so I don't have idea to be which character.
If you want to make your own costume from raw materials, it costs much. One of my friend needed to sell even her 3DS system... So yeah.

Most people actually make their cosplays. Which can be cheaper than buying them. And I've been to a convention before. And it wasn't cheap. But then again we were in the convention centers hotel. But after the experience at that con I don't think I'll ever go to one again.

Wow, it is costly, and I understand that it depends on where you live the raw material may be hard and costly, but its still good that you make the effort to attend and watch, I bet those costumes that you see are mind blasting.

Yeah, but it some cases the raw material are like finding gold, its really tough raw materials to build a costume and that depends on where you live, what kind of experience did you encounter at the convention, what character were you when you attended or you just went to watch some outfits?

Never been to one, but they seem fun. I'd probably cosplay as someone from Sailor Moon or something :O I heard they can be expensive though, depending on where you go..
