I was wondering.... which game is better? Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas? I was thinking about buying one of them, and I want to know which is the best in replay value, exploration, and story. I have heard many things about both games, and I honestly don't know which to choose.. :/

Lol personally id say get them both and GOTY edition Fallout 3 comes with 5 DLC's while New Vegas has 4+2 weapon packs (I got both of them for less than £15) both have great main mission stories (Fallout 3 is more personal where New Vegas is more Factional)

Both are open world with huge maps filled with many random encounters, Fallout 3 has a Karma System (although it is often wrong many feel..as do i with some things in it) while New Vegas is more about reputation with factions which may seem kinda better)

these games I would replay as much as i do Skyrim however they do have an issue on consoles (as does Skyrim but to a much lesser degree) is that those gen systems as tiny RAM (half a GB) so it is so much better on PC (also Mods galore) but if you can't just be careful of your filesize and if you get Fallout 3 do Mothership Zeta fist (otherwise it will crash at the start of the DLC)

But if i had to pick one id say get Fallout 3 first because A its cheaper than New Vegas and B i find playing Newer games in a series ruins the previous games due to lack of features

Hopes this help

i agree with @DarkScot fallout 3 is better than new Vegas. although i think that personally new vegas has better dlc than 3. fallout 3 had cool maps for dlc but i started loosing interest in some *cough**cough*mothership zetta**cough* because the maps were huge but the quality of the dlc seemed lacking. i will say that point lookout was amazing and if you buy the GOTY edition play that first! new vegas's dlc was great because they really seemed to care more about the story of them. and when i had first played new vegas i didn't have the dlc but the game hints alot about the stuff in the dlc so that when you start playing them you feel like "oh! i remember hearing about that!" but main story wise fallout 3 is waaaaaaaaaay better than new vegas. oh and i highly recommend that you get the GOTY edition of fallout 3. so that when you finish the main story you can still be your charecter
