Famous artists?

do you heard of, or like any artists? such as Vincent Van goph (SP?), Pablo picasso etc?

I know only those two. Learned about them in high school. They had some good pieces of artwork. =3

at first I thought that you might mean the digital artists such as Artgerm, Tetsuya Nomura, Kunka, and so on.. but for old traditional one,, i didnt know much, Yoshitaka Amano is one (heck, he really paint all of his artwork...manually.), other like Da Vinci and Michaelangelo i supposed.

I really like Dali's works! His paintings look like they came straight from his dreams; they're kinda realistic surreal paintings . It's hard to explain, so here are some of his paintings so you can see what I mean yourself:

My favorite character designer is Yoshitoshi ABe. His style is realistic one, as reflected in Serial Experiments Lain, Texhnolyze (both of them are my fave anime), NieA_7, etc.

He draws for several novel cover art, like Welcome to the NHK and All You Need Is Kill. His latest project is Phenomeno, as a character designer.
