What are your favorite battles in all of the Pokemon generations. For Gen one it would have to be the champion, Gary oak. I just loved the music used in that battle and the Pokemon he used got me into competitive play, because I was all about spamming the same moves and Just using starters all the time along with legends. In Gen two it would have to be red, the former champion atop of mt. Silver (although I could never beat him) it was by far my favorite battle. Gen three would have to be Steven stone the champion in R/S. For the fourth generation it would be Cyrus the boss of team galactic or Cynthia the champion of the DP Pokemon league. Gen five would be N in the castle. Gen six would have to be the boss of team flare (I hate the BGM of diantha's fight..)

Maybe wally or Zinnia in OR/AS no because it was dificult because gen 6 dificulty is trash you can beat any1 by spamming i just liked those 2 battles because they had good music lol but its true those two battles have just AWESOME soundtracks thats why i like them xD

Zinnia i agree is a great battle simply because it wasn't as easy as the other battles.
But my favorite battle was against cynthia, she is, first of all, the best ellite champion of all the regions, appearing in just about every game afterwards. And she is actually extremely difficult to beat the first time around, having all those buff cool and powerful pokemon in her party. She has the strongest pokemon introduced in sinnoh and it took me my third game reset before i could defeat her and claim my championship. She still gets a bit hard sometimes, especiallly when i try to do the whole ellite four with only one pokemon. If i ever lose, it's to her.
Barry is a higher level but i find cynthia to be a tad bit harder because of her awesome 6 iv ev trained pokemon.
And a challenge is always what makes a good trainer, (with awesome music)

One of the most satisfactory pokemon battles of my childhood was against the Champion, but not in the gameboy games, in Pokemon Stadium, where you were only able to pick from not-so-good Pokemon, so it was pretty challenging :p. Also, you had to beat all the elite 4 AND Blue with the same team so you had to make a team that could stand a battle against all of those... but being overleveled wasn't a thing.
Apart from that, the flashy 3D graphics from the Nintendo 64 make the battles more exciting than the RBY old graphics.

I also had a really cool battle against Maxi in my nuzlocke run of pokemon ORAS, he almost wipped out my team with his mega Camerupt but my Masquerain was able to stop it with a lucky crit.
