Favorite manga show

A lot of people say that pokemon is manga and i kinda think of it like that two

Pokemon is my favorite
manga show because its the only manga show i watch pretty much

Dont watch lots of manga but my favorite episode was when they were stuck in the thing then a guy finds a metorite then team magma and team aqua appear but ash gets out of thing and helps the guy get it back

Is manga show similar to anime? Manga means a comic book from what I know.
Anyway, I love pokemon both as manga and anime ><
My favourite pokemon anime is "Pikachu 2000" I think it is to celebrate the year 2000? It is mainly about Pikachu and I watched it so many times! I haven't watched any new pokemon anime though, only the original and the 2nd version (Chrystal).
