Favorite Mario Game Series and Why?

Whether it be sporting or partying, karting or smashing, Mario has been in tons of game series and franchises. He's played basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, and even more! Which game series do you think Mario was best in? I honestly think Mario Kart is because it has a sense of challenge and they make new innovations everytime a new game is released. It's a very unique Mario game and a great racing game in general. A lot of games have tried to copy its style, but none have succeeded as well as Mario Kart has.

Mario Kart is my favorite because the online play is amazing and the hackers :p Clans were cool, and I love that the games are so broken xD (I'm talking to you MKW) But I like that, it gives you a reason to stick around, instead of just leaving when you beat the game, stay, grabs some chips, and glitch! The community was really a great part, and friend lists were probably my favorite thing, I liked to fill up all my friends list on all of my files, until the WFC shut down :( There was a 30 friend capacity in MKW (Mario Kart Wii). Even though the Wi-Fi shut down, there is a hack called Wiimmfi to play online still. So the people who miss it so much can play still, I tried it for a couple of days, then something happened, It wouldn't boot up. The Mario Kart Series is definitely the series I played the most and enjoyed. The 3D platformers almost took this spot, and the Mario Sports games aren't that bad either, but Mario Kart takes my vote.
 
the Action adventure series. Mario 64/Sunshine/Galaxy. Those are the funnest for me, Especially since I'm used to playing games by myself. I do enjoy Mario Kart, and the Paper Mario series, but not as much as the adventure ones.

Only Fun, and family mario games I like is Mario Party, and Mario Golf.

Half of my comments have Mario Kart in them, that explains my love for Mario Kart XD

I love the 3D action-adventure games as well. Those are my close second up to Mario Kart. Then probably the 2D platformers.
 
I really like the Luigi's mansion duo you know Luigi's Mansion and Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, I mean you got to play as Luigi in a star role in a game of his own battling ghosts with a vacuum cleaner lol It was awesome
Also I like how Luigi was able to face his fears to save his brother :3
It's a Luigi time all the time baby lol

My vote also goes to Mario kart, due to the Perfect online that is has. You Complete a platformer Mario game? stop playing it. You Complete a Mario kart game? There are still lots to do in the online mode, and it is always fun! on second Place I got the 3d Mario games, like 3d world and Galaxy.
 
I think all the series are great, but i like the super mario bros (2)/(wii (u)) and RPG series the best, just because it takes focus and concentration, what is not very common by for example mario kart. And I like the luigi series, because he is my favourite mario character
 
My favorite game would have to be the Mario Party. The older Mario Parties such as Mario Party 64 were honestly much better in my opinion than the newer ones. For one reason, you can obviously tell that Nintendo put much more effort into making the games, because of the gameplay and fun factor. For a second reason, the minigames have much more content than the newer ones where you just tap the screen like 4 times and then you win, while on the Nintendo 64, most of the games are much more complicated and more fun in my opinion. This is why the older Mario Parties are my all time favorite Mario games. Anyone agree with me?

I like the mario mart series i have played all the mario kart games and i like all of them:p

While I love the Mario Kart games and the regular platforming games which I've been playing for more years than I can count, my favourites are the RPG series with superstar saga being top of the list. These games in addition to just having great gameplay and depth had the most character and actually had something of a personality.

I've always liked the platformers, personally. I like adventure games for the most part, battling bosses, collecting stars, using cool items and finding secret hidden areas! exploring is so much fun! :D

Galaxy was the best one, imo. It had so many hours of fun gameplay. :playful:

My most favorite Mario series or spin-off are the Yoshi's Island games. They take the fun of Super Mario Bros. and multiply by a million. The first game in the Yoshi's Island series was the best platformer game ever made, in my opinion (and a lot of others opinions as well).

I would say that the Mario Kart series of Mario has always been the BEST thing that I have ever played :D I always loved playing this and it seems the fun never ends . It also provides with awesome challenges so this is soooo my choice . I even prefer it over the platformer :p

I would have to say either mario kart. Mario Kart is a fun and addicting game with great multiplayer. It has plenty of replay-ability and provides a challenge for people of all skill levels, weather you just started or have put hundreds of hours into the game (which is very possible with a game like this). The handheld entries in the series don't lack anything compared to there console brethren and are just as fun to play. Weather you're good or bad, young or old, alone or with friends the mario kart series provides a fun and lasting experience for everyone to enjoy.

Best one over all is ....... MARIO PARTY!!! I love Mario Party because well I am very good at it and seem to get very lucky. Combine that with me being very good at the Minigames and I win almost all the time. People say that Mario Party had gone downhill with the 4 person kart thing in Mario Party 9. Of course 1. I think they're taking that out of Mario Party 10 and 2. I actually enjoyed the concept of screwing ver your opponents it was like having frenemies. The only thing I did not enjoy from Mario Party 9 was the 6 sided block because I LOVED rolling like 3 10's in a row.

I honestly have no clue. All the mario games are too good so I will state my least favorite series since except for this, all have been my favorite. It is mario party. Yes yes, the only game I only liked was the wii u version, dang it! The others games were too boring or slow, mario party 10 took a new style but the rest sucked.

I love Mario Kart: Super Circuit a lot. Mario Kart: Super Circuit is a pretty fun to play. This game combines the elements from the previous Mario Kart games and contains all the courses from Super Mario Kart. As in all previous games, they also race in the same go-karts, but with different sizes and colors that suit each playable character.

Definitely the main series, especially the 3D entries. The RPGs are very good, as well.


...screw it, I love all of main Mario xD

My favorite Mario series is probably Paper Mario (minus Sticker Star). The original one was one of the best games on the N64, with its great story, powerful music, and humorous dialogue, not to mention the sprawling overworked that was littered with secrets and colorful characters. Thousand-year-door improved upon many of the attributes of the original, with unique helpers, more humorous dialogue, and an even deeper story.
