what is your favorite way to spike someone in smash. if you didn't know this already a spike is when you hit someone in a way in the air and the hit sends the enemy down quickly 2 to the stage or into certain doom. the best spike to me is when you do a forward air with cloud in the beginning of the match and spike little mac into the bottom of the stage twice in a row. so what is your favorite way to spike someone in smash.

I actually find this quite amusing to do on unsuspecting players online:

Pikachu
  1. Get them to around 80-90%
  2. Grab and Up Throw
  3. Down B
If they don't DI to the side, what'll happen is that they will get thrown up to the Thunder cloud which will spike them down to Pikachu, and because Pikachu getting hit by the Thunder is a strong hitbox of it's own, it can be used to kill opponents more efficiently. If you get the opponent around 120% you can do Down Throw to Down B and it works the same way.

I'll say I like to spike with Olimar because he's my main and Purple Pikmin are really useful. I also like to spike with Sonic offstage but if I'm online and there's lag it'll most likely end in a SD even though I jumped afterward. I used to like to spike a ton with Mega Man on the demo version because it was fairly easy and a great way to get quick KOs. In Melee I like to spike with Falco.

I know this isnt a spike but mine is footstooling

I say my favorite "spiking-man" is Donkey Kong.Based on his normal moveset solely,he already has a composition of four spikes to mess around with his opponents, with two of them triggered by his aerials, and the other two by his specials used on air. They all feel pretty darn heavy on impact, and are really satisfying when hit at their spiking point with high percentage of damage. :D
I also like the spike effect that Wario gets to his down-aerial when he turns into Wario-Man for his Final Smash. It's nuts that you can pretty much input the attack again almost immediately after you trigger it,making it impossible for your opponents to come back.At the same time though, there is a 99% chance that you won't be able to recover in time, especially in the smaller stages as Wario-Man falls down like if he suddenly has gotten an extra thousand pounds, but I still like the small risk-and-reward factor that's possibly in there. :p

I try to spike with my mains Kirby's down a, Ike down a, Shulk down a.

I like to spike using Link. He has really good moves, and he is my main. I don't really care how much damage the enemy has, a spike is a spike, and there is no coming back from a successful spike, or at least not easily. I always start off my attacking. I always start off by(If I can, if not i improvise) Running at the enemy, and grabbing them. I hit them a few times, and then I slam them into the ground. They always go flying back up a little, and once they do, I hit them with a triple upward slash, and they go flying. As they come back down, I charge my side-B and hit them with it, sending them flying to the side and off the stage. Once they get back on, I grab them again, throw them over the side, and I jump over the edge with them. If I time it right, I send link flying down towards them extra fast, and once his blade hits them, they go flying down into the abyss.

Mario's Forward-Air is one of my favorite spikes in Smash :p Even though I probably missed plenty of them, but when you actually do catch one, it is really satisfying. I also like Link's Down-Air, just as long as I don't fast fall and miss and die which used to happen to me plenty of times xD
