Favourite Mario Sports Game(s)?

So, what were your favourite Mario sports games and why?

The one I enjoyed the most was Mario Strikers: Charged Football on the Wii. It was just such a fun party game that was easy to pick up but hard to master. I never quite managed to beat the last level and unlock the last character, though, which was a real shame.

Same here. It made football type games fun! xD

I must admit, it was very challenging and you have to be highly skilled to progress at times.

I haven't played any of the other Mario sport games, so this was an easy choice! xD
 
I LOVE the sports games! :D My favorites include Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour (GCN), Mario Power Tennis (GCN), Mario Superstar Baseball (GCN), and Mario Strikers Charged (Wii).
 
All the Mario Baseball and Mario Golf games are my favorite Super Mario sports games. I bought Mario Golf: World Tour for the Nintendo 3DS today, actually.
 
Love MarioTennis, liked it because it was a different spin to other tennis games plus it's tons of fun
 
I loved Mario Strikers: Charged, and to be honest, I have never heard of Mario Strikers: Charged Football, or is that the same game except different title? Anyways, this game is great, and since Soccer is one of my favorite sports, of course I would love this game. Good thing is that you can customize you team, regardless of which character you choose. For example, lets say that Mario's team is only Toads while Luigi's team is only Dry Bones.
 
Favorite is Mario Tennis. It was okay as a gba game and now its coming to the Wii u. Can't wait .
 
Mario Hoops: 3 on 3. The first time I managed to play the game was an awesome experience. I believt eh first time I played this game was when I was still played (or previously had and still hyped about) NBA Street V3. I got to play the game again sometime in the future again but the game is rare. Best Mario sports game I've every played.
 
Mario Strikers: Charged was awesome, indeed. It's the only legit mario sport spinoff I've played, yet for some reason I think it's the best out of all of them lol. I'm looking forward to trying out Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash when it releases. Hopefully it will be clutch.

Mine is Mario Slam Basketball(or Mario Hoops 3-on-3 for America).On one normal day,I was guiding through those little game recommendation manuals that came alongside one of my DS game boxes,and then I suddenly looked my eyes over this game.Immdietly with excitement,I got the game from my dad,and I'm glad I did that.This game is very fun and challenging,and is a nice general twist of Mario with basketball! :D
Sometimes though,it can be a bit too challenging with the AI...but scratching that,I enjoy the game a lot. :thumbsup:

Mine is Mario Golf for the N64. The nostalgia is mainly the reason why i can still play it to this day. It also has great music. I love the title screen and menu music in the game.

The songs in the courses are also good.

My favorite is Mario Gold Advance Tour! It was a pretty interesting game with great graphics, despite the GBA hardware limitations. It also had very enjoyable game modes and nice music and themes overall! I think I still have it somewhere and this just made me want to look for the game cartridge to play it again!

Oh, this is going to be long xD. Here are some of my favourites:

Mario Super Sluggers
I really liked the idea of picking your team because of their stats. It's cool how each character has their own stats, and depending who you are playing against, you need to choose wisely. This is a great game to play with friends. The story mode is actually pretty decent too, considering most Mario Sports Games are only fun with friends. For a while it was one of the tournament picks in my group of friends.

Mario Sports Mix
This game is a great compilation of some great games. There are Basketball, Volleyball, Dodgeball and Hockey. This game is very fun, with all the unlockables and it's really fun to play with others. My siblings, my friends and I used to play this game all the time. Occasionally we will pop it in and play again.

Mario Power Tennis
For a while, this was a game that was played A LOT in our house. I got it from a garage sale, and it is really fun to play with friends. I have not really done much on it other then the core multiplayer though, but the multiplayer is great. Not too sure about single player mode though.

The Strikers games are easily my favourite of the Mario sports series. It's a bit harder to pick up than the other sports games, but it's an absolute blast once you get the hang of things. It's fast paced, surprisingly deep, and it has a lot of variety. I would also highly recommend the Mario Superstar baseball games. Huge roster and a very enjoyable game too. Strikers and Superstar baseball would be my recommendations.
