A rip-off of Matthew's guitarists thread obviously :p

Well... vocalists get all the attention, obviously, and nine times out of ten the vocalist is the frontman of a band. Post your favourite ones, whether they're solo artists or in a band :)

Mine are as below, in no particular order:

  • Matt Tuck (Bullet For My Valentine)
  • Jon Bon Jovi (Bon Jovi)
  • Johnny Rotten (Sex Pistols)
  • Brian Johnson (AC/DC)
  • Bon Scott (AC/DC)
  • Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)
  • Roger Daltrey (The Who)
  • Joe Strummer (The Clash)
  • Mick Jones (The Clash)
  • Alice Cooper (Alice Cooper)
  • Ozzy Osbourne (Black Sabbath)
  • Liam Cormier (AxeWound)
  • Joey Ramone (The Ramones)
  • James Hetfield (Metallica)

I like the fold music.

I'll go with Yumi Uchimura, female vocalist of my favorite post-rock band (School Food Punishment, la la larks). And also Akiko Shikata (she has been contributing to all Ar tonelico series). She sings folk songs, and if you're into Ar tonelico series, her hymmnos give me goosebumps. Very solemn.

I'll have to go with Gackt. He's a Japanese rock artist and one of the best I've ever heard. Hyde is also another great rock artist from Japan :3 Love them both.

My favorite vocalist of all is probably Amy Winehouse. I miss her.
Right now I'm really enjoying Ariana Grande, her lesser known songs really show her true singing talent. Those pop songs you hear on the radio kind of suck...but you know how pop artists are. waste their talent sometimes.
Jonny craig is also one of my favorites. True raw talent. I'm just a fan of those soul/r&b/jazzy style voices.

Well, the only band (I'm the singer-songwritery type) I really listen to is Coldplay, so I'll go with Chris Martin :) I think I know about 80% of Coldplay's songs, but I'll always recognize Chris Martin's voice and Colplay's unique music style ^_^
