After months of waiting for my best friends brother to sell me his old 3DS and finally getting the $10 to get the code for pokemon yellow, tonight is finally the night i can download it. If anyone is interested in trading/battling once i get some decent pokemon, let me know and i can send you my friend code. Also if any of you out there have any good team setups for me or know how to get blastoise and charizard after you max out pikachu's happiness, that would be fantastic.

If you're talking about trading and battling in Pokemon Yellow VC with other people online, I hate to break the bad news to you but the trade/battle features are local wireless only, not global.

Btw... in Yellow, it's possible to get Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle in the same game without having to trade for one, and I assume that you have got your Bulbasaur already, yes? From some sources that I've searched, it's possible to get Charmander after going on the north of the Nugget Bridge where you fight 6 consecutive trainers and talk to a hiker above.

And as for Squirtle, from what I heard, you can get one after beating Lt. Surge in a Gym match, by talking to Officer Jenny in the middle of the Vermilion City (she's near the left side of the Mart, so you'll know).

dang. that sux. well thnx for letting me know m8
I ended up not having enough money due to the fact that they also do tax on the eshop so i only had $10 instead of the $10.96 they asked for.

I love this game so far,(red) but man generation 1 is so different, and I tend to notice that critical hits happened a lot more back then. But overall I'm glad to have it, now all I need is a gem 3 game and I will have a game of all generations.

I found that to be a really fun game. So fun in fact that I have two Gameboy Colors and two copies of TCG for the express purpose of filling out the card collection. (Technically you can only card pop once with a single person but assuming you use a cart save device to format/wind back the game saves you can card pop with the same game as many times as you like.)

Gen I is indeed pretty oddball looking at it now. For some of us we've taken so much of today's Pokemon mechanics and gameplay for granted that it's actually surprising how much has changed even taking into account that features were added and changed between generations. Even now, I'm realising and appreciating how much difference there is between Pokemon Crystal and Pokemon Blue aside from the obvious details like color, day/night systems and animations.
