......
To be honest I have horrible experiences with fish.
I had many fish in my life, the first one was a dark purplish-blue Beta Fish.
It was a gift from my grandma, well when she gave it to me it was small and in a dome shaped bowl. It had a swollen belly, so I thought it was pregnant, it died the following morning. Turns out it had cancer.
If you want a Betta Fish, be careful these fish are prone to tumors and developing cancer.
Some time later, my parents bought a huge tank like the ones in a doctor's office filled with goldfish. Well...Turns out those fish were cannibalistic because each day we had less and less fish and one fish was getting bigger and bigger.
And the last fish we owned was a set of three small fish named after the Powerpuff Girls. Their tank was fairly big with a filter and freshwater, well...Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup swam into the filter. They just killed themselves.
My advice don't bother with a filter.
