I'm going to try using a Flying type mono team, I have some sets in mind but I could use some suggestions about it.

Staraptor @Choice Scarf
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Spe, 252 Atk, 4 HP
Nature: Adamant
Moveset: Brave Bird, U Turn, Close Combat, Double Edge

Dragonite @Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscales
EVs: 252 Def, 252 Sp Def, 4 Atk
Nature: Adamant
Moveset: Dragon Dance, Iron Head, Earthquake, Dragon Rush

Honchcrow @Leftovers (need to change)
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Def, 4 Spe
Nature: Timid
Moveset: Brave Bird, Thunder, Dark Pulse, Roost

Charizard @Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought (Mega zard Y)
EVs: 252 Sp Atk, 252 Def, 4 Sp Def

Nature: Modest
Moveset: Flamethrower, Dragon Pulse, Flare Blitz, Fly

I feel like this needs a bunch of improvement but I have no idea where to start Dx. help me

@Pk1410 @Lios Help meh I not experinced with monotypes >.<

Change Honchcrow to Gyarados Dragon Dancer(Why thunder?)

You need a counter to electric and rock so I would say Landrous-T It is immune to Electric, ground and normal damage with Rock types.

Defensive:
Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

Change Charizard to

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast
- Roost

Why Fly which is a horrible move and you don't even have leftovers or something, when you could have Solar Beam? Flare Blitz have recoil and Y isn't physical in case you haven't noticed. Roost for longivity and Focus Blast for defensive types like Scizor and Heatran.

Thanks @Chooper with what you could provide. I made the set mindlessly and got so confused which is why I posted here for help >.< Just need more help with what other 3 Pokemons, since my friends and I are gonna have a monotype tourney over the summer I wanted to be prepared (Kind of why I chose flying since most of them have dual types).

With Dragonite, you may want to swap Dragon Rush for Dragon Claw, because of Rush's very unreliable accuracy. Outrage is another option to hit very hard, but Fairy switch-ins can spell doom. Also, why such a Defensive spread? Dragonite should be able to tank a Super-effective hit most of the time because of Multiscale anyway, to activate WP (not an ice-type move though, you shouldn't set up on Ice-Types).

Also, considering that you are using a Mono-Flying-Type Team, the majority of your Pokemon will be weak to Stealth Rock. For that, you might want to get a reliable Defogger:

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Nature: Impish
- Roost
- Defog
- Brave Bird
- Taunt

Defog to get rid of Entry Hazards; Roost to heal off damage; Brave Bird to deal damage and not be complete Taunt bait; Taunt to stop setup sweepers and defensive Pokemon.
