I personally prefer for glory (1 vs 1), cause I can show my skills and is more fair :D

I prefer for glory too because I don't like items and I don't like maps that kill you.
But I prefer 2v2 with my friend.

IMO, It really depends what you're in the mood for; A cruel fight to the death relying only on your skills(and luck in some cases). as the clock ticks away, Or a match where it isn't taken so seriously, and more fun rules can be employed.

In my case, I'm more of a for glory player though.

I used to play for glory...I used to get into the groove and do all I could to win but...over the years as my siblings got older and started playing with me...I learned that my glory turns them into fire breathing earth shattering I'll bite your face raging lunatics...it's so scary!

We'd play and I'd be like

I did it! Great game right? Trying to show sportsmanship and all but their like

Leaving me terrified and now I don't try to win...0_0

On the rare occasion that I play online on Smash without friends, I enjoy For Glory more. I don't really like items and playing on FD is just more fun imo.

For Glory all the way! You fight on a fair map 1 on 1 for 2 stock, and have no cheap items coming on the stage. There are many great smashers in For Glory, and you battle for a win rate.... boosting your global smash power to become best of all!

For Glory!! It's always on a fair stage without stupid items. It's actually about skill...and even if you lose a lot (me) it doesn't matter overall. It can also help you get better at, you know, strategy and seeing how other people play.

I'd don't always play For Glory, but when I do, it's because the lag in For Fun is unbearable

The lag in for fun is ridiculously stupid but is fun on the occasions where there is not as much lag but for glory is always more interesting and shows how good you are compared to the world so mostly for glory.

For Glory on Wii U I enjoy specifically, the 3ds online is filled with spammers or (I don't intend on insulting anyone with this) people who aren't competitive at the game. Though on rare occasions when i do go online with my 3ds game, i might find someone who is fun to play against but the lag interrupts the flow unfortunately.

I do for glory 1v1 basically all the time only because the other modes are practically 4 players only and that causes so much lag that it isn't fun

Well I think that the For Glory 2v2 mode (where you play with a friend on the same Wii U against two people also on the same Wii U) doesn't cause more lag than 1v1.

I don't really know. I think it's 50/50. I enjoy For Fun and For Glory, but I tend sometimes to go in For Glory mode because as many said, the lag in For Fun is almost unbearable, with even errors popping at one point or another.

But I happened to play 4 Players For Fun battles (Free For All in For Fun) without experiencing any lag at all.

I haven't played a 'for glory' match before and I don't plan to in the future, because I prefer the idea of challenging people who I know, and I would already be aware of how good they are in battle. You wouldn't know what to expect in a 'for glory' match as you'd be pitted against random players.

they Should of made the For glory Mode better. They should allow us to play team with our friends and the other team with randoms. I believe that is the way that it should be so then you can choose to play with a random person or not. Anyone agree?

I prefer to play for fun because I think items and killing stages are part of the essence of super smash bros. I know you can really show off your smashing skills in the for glory mode. It is just a matter of preference hahah

I prefer for glory, because it is more fair than for fun. I enjoy competitive play in super smash Brothers, and for glory is much more competitive than for fun, because in for glory you must rely on Your own skills rather than items and stage hazards in for fun. but sometimes im too tired to do my best, and then I go on for fun and enjoy the game in another way.

I prefer For Glory over For Fun, and I really don't like the idea of items and stages which have multiple ways to kill you.
For Glory is a better mode overall because all you need to win is some simple SKILL. In Fr Fun, you could have someone get an OP item like the Hammer and Smash you out. In For Glory, distractions like those are not present and thus makes for a better, more balanced match.
