So i, like many other people have been getting a little tired of fortnite. Even the constant additions of new tools to use wasn’t enough to make me want to keep playing the Battle Royale mode. I had tried the save the world mode on my sister’s account on pc, but Battle Royale wasn’t a common occurrence anymore.
But then, my younger brother who recently got his first job randomly decided to get the battle pass. (He does stuff like this alot he probably doesn’t even have 50$ in his bank account for longer than a week..)
Anyway, the season for fortnite is ending in a couple weeks, so he asked me if I could play for him sometimes so he can get more of the rewards. And im having a blast. The best part of the battle pass isn’t the cosmetics. Its the gameplay. Having the battle pass adds so many things to do in the game, i ligit compared it to Breath of the wild corok seeds, if they were a bit easier to find but with a more fun challenge to them.
For example, thier are these lightning bolts floating in the sky to collect. Usually you can’t reach them without building up high, which makes it so other players can easily see you, which is fun!
There are also treasure hunts with vauge maps, vauge directions, and more.
Thier are also challenges that reward players when they do stuff you normally do in the game, so its not like the battle pass leads to people who don’t care about playing the game, but when you have more things to accomplish than just getting that 1# spot its a much funner game. (Kinda like how BOTW was fun until the only thing i was doing was looking for coroks...)

Yeah, the Battle Pass really does make you want to play it more. In fact, I just got to Tier 100 for Season 5’s Battle Pass, and I’m now working to get Ragnarok’s final upgrade. The best part about the Battle Pass is that it’s not pay to win. When you buy it, you don’t get perks to help you win, you get only cosmetics, like skins, pickaxes, gliders, emotes, etc. All in all, the Battle Pass does indeed make it more fun, but it’s also good that you don’t have to buy it because you never win.
