Would you prefer the GameCube or wii? I'd prefer both because wii is two in one. Plus homebrew. ;)

I like the Wii better because it is just that I played it and i liked it more than the Game Cube . However the Game Cube had really cool games that I really liked so in terms of better games i would say the Game Cube . Also the Wii has Super Smash Bros for Wii which is the first Super Smash Bros game that I ever played so it really brings back some memories . Also the Wii is still kinda supported unlike the Game Cube and the DS so I like things that are still being noted for and still have a few great games

Get both. I still HAVE MY GameCube & my Wii. I also still have my n64,SNES,NES hooked up to my tv.

Wow aren't you a Nintendo fan

Well... I like the gamecube a lot more as in the games it has. But the wii you can play gamecube AND Wii games. Actually not all wiis can be used as a gamecube. I'd have to say gamecube because of the games and Wii because it can work as both. It's kind of a fight between the two. I don't know which one to pick! :(

The only Wii that can't play gamecube games is the Wii Mini. Other then that all the Wii's can play all Gamecube games.

OH! That makes a lot more sense! I didn't know that they make Wii Minis. Thanks! I was a little confused why I couldn't play gamecube games on this one Wii I had. Thanks for clearing that up. :)

Actually, future Wiis aren't capable of Gamecube games actually, thus also meaning no GC ports.

I prefer the Wii though. The Wii has some good games, and same for the Gamecube. You don't have to buy both systems, meaning money saved! :D

Unfortunely,I never had the chance to own a GameCube before(although I did remember playing Super Mario Sunshine once on one of my family members' house once when I was a bit new),so I would have to go with the Wii,since it has a lot of games I like to play on it,and thus,it holds a lot of fun(and some frustrating) moments for me.I heard the Wii I have(which is the 2010 version, without the stand) doesn't read GameCube games,so I can't play GC titles, unless I find a GameCube system myself, which sadly,is pretty hard to encounter around here. :panda:

It's hard to say...I love both but the GameCube holds special memories with me, like creating epic pictures on Melee. Getting a possessed Villager in Animal Crossing (the original one), meeting a Jolteon for the first time, playing two series that I now adore, and so much more.

The Wii I don't know how I feel, I only get terror and pain from it.

The Wii, it had better games than the Gamecube. It's good that you can relive the awesome titles on the Wii though, comes in handy if you don't have own a Gamecube. :3

others prefer the nostalgic feeling of a bulky controller and uniquely shaped console, though. :p

The Wii. Because you get the Wii's library and the GC's library as well thanks to retro-compatibility :p
But the GameCube also was a great console. It had so many great hits that I'd like to see re-released on a potential GC VC. (will probably never happen sadly... Just like SNES/GBA VC on 3DS. They could make lots of cash from it though ._.)

I would prefer a Wii. I really like the Wii's motion controls and its line up of games, Like LoZ Twilight Princess and things like Wii sports and Wii fit. Plus the older Wii can play GameCube games on it, I use it to play LoZ Wind Waker.
