After recently getting an automated email from Nixon Nexon to return to MapleStory with the usual "Returning Mapler" package, only to have the game not work, I'm a bit curious to see what games people love with a similar situation. In the case of MapleStory, I truely love the game, but the company that runs it is just so inept at maintaining it; and I know how much better the game could be if it was just owned by a more compedent company. So, what games have you played that have suffered this fate?

Knights and dragons for ios, I played it for a ton of time reaching level 112 but gree just didn't add good updates so I stopped playing. If another company owned it they could make it better by adding some improved combat or something but gree isn't doing that

Sometimes Pokemon X. It's great but sometimes the sheer time-consuming-ness of it gets to me. I played the story in bursts. 20 days of playing nothing but Pokemon X, 20 days of saying, "I hate this game, I'm not going anywhere near it." :p

Heh, Galaxy life and Howrse. Galaxy Life could be so much more if they did a bit more with the story and if the incorporated the forums into the game... But nope they didn't. Howrse was really good until they ruined the trademarket by adding way too many godhorses at once and allowing people to set up breeding communities that blocked out others users. Howrse did work on it all and it appears to be fun again but by now I've kind of outgrown the game. Galaxy Life did never come close to what it could be. plus for both games; I got into the sub-top really easily (two weeks to get at the top 100) and then I got stuck just below the paying users who play 24/7. Very annoying.

Flappy Bird

There was this cute phone game I had a year ago called Meow-Meow Star Acres. It was one of those farming games, but it was adorable. There were little cats on the Island that would buy stuff made on the island. The beginning of the game was fun, but as the game progressed there wasn't enough stuff they gave us to survive. Meaning not enough plots of land or money earned. So then my Star Acre ended in a life of Poverty and Famine.

This game has a hidden message behind it.. .-.

I'd just take Flappy Bird :rotfl: At least you don't have to watch kitties starve in it.

@Spinnerweb or do you? each successful level is another meal gone for a stray cat :sneaky:

anyway, i could go into a HUGE rant about maplestory, but i'm currently eating chips and can't type that fast with just my right hand. :T and really, how many of you would actually read my page-long ramblings of everything nexon did wrong or coulda done better?

I would say that League of Legends is my choice . I really liked the game but know I find that it's kinda hard to keep up and Its games are pretty long and sometimes I don't have enough time to play a single game . I stopped playing it ever since coming back to 3dspedia and I am pretty glad for doing that . I still play it but rarely when I actually have the time .

I like this site more :)

Honestly, any phone game I'll get fall under this catagory. I love many concepts, artstyles, or characters, but hate the gameplay. Mostly because most games have timed play, which is the norm for phome games. I don't mind all too much, but I just wish I had a chance to pay once and not wait.

You probably hate Pokémon Shuffle in that case. I don't mind waiting that much.

For me it's this cute little Korean game where you feed stray animals to befriend them, it sounds lame but it was very entertaining. It's only being suggested because well...at one point when your able to get higher grade food to unlock new animals...this duck kept coming! It would eat all the food and I couldn't do anything to stop it! And I'm stuck struggling to make more money.

The other is Nintendogs I love that game but I can't play it because I know have a real dog and I see no point in playing it.

The last is a game called Moe Girl Cafe. It's,super fun and like an anime version of Diner Dash except for some reason I keep running out of groceries super fast and the staff is super slow...o_O I keep losing because of them....

Depends on platform. On mobile, maybe Puzzle & Dragons because since EU has no Android version (thus I was forced to install the NA version off Internet), everytime there's an update, I have to re-install the whole game using the terribad GSM network I have where I live. That is, if it ever downloads fully. But I still love the game, it's fun to play from time to time and the IAP aren't necessary at all to enjoy it.

As for computer, Legaue of Legends. I love it since I began on it, but, why Riot sucks at making the EU West server stable ? Everynow and then when I used to play at my sister's, we were around 8k ping (lag spikes) up to 32k ping, instead of the usual 65 we get on good games. I really love League of Legends, but the fact that Riot does nothing about those lags is annoying... (But it won't matter for now I suppose, playing the game on 3G/2G sounds like the worst idea ever)

Touhou 11 SA. I can't even make it past the first level on easy! To be fair, I'm only able to beat one of the regular games (touhou 9 -Phantasmagoria Of Flower Viewing-), so I pretty much suck. I don't know how people beat the extra stage or the game on lunatic! I love playing the games of course, but it's extremely difficult.

Game I'm talking about:
