After 2 years, I'm Back!
Towns Folk
Murkrow

Item : Eviolite
Ability : Prankster
Moves :
Quash
Feather Dance
Thunder Wave
Taunt

With this set, Murkrow can ABUSE the move Quash with prankster. Almost unusable, Quash's effect that makes it good is to drag the target and FORCE it to move last IF the user is faster than the target. Pokemons that can use it barring Murkrow have abyssmal speeds but with Murkrow's Hidden Ability, Prankster, it can abuse it on non priority users and other priority users that are faster than Murkrow.

This set is more of a support type on doubles as the set only has status moves so be wary of Magic Coat, Magic Bounce and faster taunt users.

Sableye can use Quash but...

Murkrow beats out Sableye in many aspects:

  • 91 base speed, making it a faster Prankster in general
  • Flying type, giving it immunity to Ground attacks (synergy with Earthquake users)
  • Access to both Quash and Tailwind, giving a variety of speed control options to support other, less slow members of the team
  • Additionally has Thunder Wave and Perish Song
  • Better overall bulk thanks to Eviolite

Sableye does have advantages of its own though:

  • Access to Will-O-Wisp as opposed to Feather Dance, giving permanent Attack drops as well as chip damage
  • A type combination that gives only one weakness: Fairy
  • A better matchup to the most popular mega right now, Kangaskhan, due to immunity to both normal and fighting attacks
  • Has Knock Off, Fake Out, & Trick as options
  • Ability to use an item (Murkrow is essentially dependent upon Eviolite)

That's all for today lol
