Hey everyone, I couldn't find a post like this so I wanted some opinions. I have super smash on my Wii U, but I also want it on my 3DS but paying for it is annoying since that's buying it twice. I use my 3DS as the controller a lot of the times so I'm used to using the 3DS for it. I'm sure it's down to personal preference, but what are your thoughts on having it on both consoles?

I only have it for the Wii U as I don't use my 3DS version to often. And because I often use the GameCube controller to play with because it's the best controller ever. I wouldn't use it for my 3ds especially since I already have it on the Wii U making it kinda redundant to have it on both. But that's just my slice of cake.

Solution: There's a cheap 1st party app on the eShop made specifically for it. It's roughly $1. It's called Smash Controller in the apps section. In terms of DLC characters just get them on the Wii U version as they both play the same but if you have the funds get the bundled DLC (for Wii U and 3DS).

Well what is really strange is that I didn't set my title as that. I set me title asking if I already have super smash on the wii u if I should also get it on the 3DS.

And I have the controller on my 3DS. I love using that, so I would already feel comfortable with it.

In that case Smash 3DS is SO similar I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. It's content is much easier and there's almost nothing different. If there were any audios that were different/unique from the 3DS version compared to the Wii U version you could still hack those audios in w/o having to own the game.

I have both (by mistake... long story)...

Anyway, They're both good... But I prefer the Wii U, the only real difference I can think of between Wii U & 3DS would be the "Smashrun" mode (3DS) vs the "Smash Tour" (Wii U) mode.. Also, Smash U has waaaayyyy better graphics and visuals than the 3ds. Also you don't burn your eyes out as bad since you're not staring at a tiny screen.. Soooo I'd go with the Wii U version..
