SSB for 3DS getting the game??? and thoughts on mewtwo

I have been following the game's news from before release but so far haven't bought it yet, (only have pokemon for 3ds as only game anyway). I used to play melee at a friends place, with mewtwo as my favorite character.
Maybe the main reason i do not yet got it is mewtwo who wasn't in it from the beginning.
I just seen his dlc trailer and he looks amazing, and probalby in the future will get me the game.
But one thing that made me wonder, why was he postponed when he has almost exactly the same moveset from melee? (+ that final smash, wow)
At least if i'll get the game i might be able to get a code here on 3dspedia for him.

They have a lot more to do than just copy a moveset, they have to rework the network so mewtwo can be included in battles online with people that don't have mewtwo and trust me that does take some time. Probably the biggest delay was them making the Lucas trailer and in my opinion the wait was worth it

Also if you haven't heard the story of mewtwo then you need to google it now, that's one of the darkest things in pokemon, and mewtwo is awsome

You should definitely get smash for 3ds. It is very trimmed down from the wii u version but still an amazing game. Mewtwo looked awesome from the trailer and he might be my new main once her comes out. There are a bunch of ssb contests on here for pc and eshop cards so if you get the game you could be in them too

I think that Smash is a must have for any Nintendo gamer and it is really suitable for you . I'm sure that you will like the game since you played Melee . I really liked Smash due to Brawl Plus with Mewtwo and Lucas , the game only gets better and better So definitely this game is a must

indeed, and with the competitions like @Nightsrain622 mentioned, i can go win a lot here. *evil laugh* been practicing in the demo, with pikachu defeating tons of lvl 9 npc's already.

I got the game. But I really want mewtwo. I saw a little bit of mewtwo gameplay but I want to have him. I only registered the code for super smash bros on 3ds. But I did not register super smash bros on wii u because I do not have a wii u. But I really want a wii u for super smash bros cause I think it would be better on the wii u than the 3ds.

The code here would cost at least 700 PC possibly because it is rare and there is now an Amiibo of him :O BTW I realllyyyyy want ssb4 but ssb5 or something will come out and I will be like

The game is amazing considering its handheld! And i cannot wait for Mewtwo to be released I'll be using the 3DS dlc code for him. But unfortunately i do not own a WiiU so i'll have an extra WiiU Mewtwo dlc code. Though i have no idea what i'll do with it yet.

Anybody else think that looking back Mewtwo was one of the weaker characters in Melee? I mean I remember using him, and he was not fast at all, but with that he didn't really have much strength either. I mean his recovery was decent but nothing special, and his projectiles were not fantastic. But I think the hype is just over the fact that we are getting new characters to an already extensive cast. But I think I'm more excited for Lucas than I am Mewtwo.

i was far from a pro, (i didn't own the console) but mewtwo had the strongest throws (especialy the up was a finisher).
And his smash and fully charged shadow balls were hits you wanted to avoid. His neutral air was good for damage and his forward air could also finish well. But he was indeed slow and bigger/ easier to hit.
One thing i noticed in the trailer was that the shadow almost had no knockback. Curious how this will play out in the game.

Hey bro, Mewtwo does seem like a great character to use and im sure some moves will be recycled from melee but he will obviously have new moves due to pokemon y coming out. I think he is worth it but is the cost an issue for you?
