SSB for 3DS Going Under FD Stages With Characters

Okay, I know what you're going to think when you read this. I'm an idiot. I agree though.


So basically @Heart has been trying to get from one side to another by going under the final destination version of stages with each character. I started doing it too and find it really interesting.

I would have never believed you can go under a stage with Marth and make it to the other side :eek:

Sure, it's completely useless and you don't gain anything by doing it, by its a fun little challenge.
 
It is fun and trying it with random characters make it all the more interesting.
 
Urm, wha?! How would you even do that with Marth? Marth does not have a great horizontal recovery instead of Shield Breaker, and that too requires charging. May I know how you did it?
The only character I have succesfully done that with is Diddy Kong. Charge up that rocketbarrel, and aim for the other side.
Oh, and this isn't useless at all. If you get stuck with a projectile-loaded character on sudden death, just go under the stage for a while. Bombs will come crashing down on them, sending them to their doom.

You have to do it on Battlefield. Stand on one of the platforms (left or right side), jump backwards while facing whatever side your aiming to reach, and immediately hold B (his charge up sword attack), then right after you fall pass the ledge release it. Then do his Up B and you should be able to reach the ledge. It is VERYYYYYY hard. Took me like an hour to do it online with Heart one night.

To my surprise, Link and Toon Link can make it under Final Destination as well, they can up b twice as long as the bomb explodes while they hold it, which helps them get a great vertical boost. When I first saw someone do it I was amazed, and started doing it myself. Another character that can go under FD is Pikachu, where all you have to do is side b under the stage the up b to the edge (since up b goes in 2 directions). Then you can have Kirby and Jigglypuff float to the other side from underneath lol. I think there's a list of which characters can make it underneath FD, I forgot which ones were on it specifically though.
 
Going Under can really be something challenging to do :p though it requires lots of tries and patience as well as timing to get yourself across >.> If I were to ever try this , I'll just stick to using Villager and his balloon recovery :rolleyes: but it is something fun to do now and then
 
I know that Marth, Pikachu, Jiggs, Kirby, Villager, Link Toon Link, Diddy, Pit (I think so). I love doing it in training mode when I am bored as heck and it really takes my boredom away believe it or not. I am working on the others who have wings but it takes some time.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if Roy could do this. His up special has excellent height (farther than Marth's I believe) at an interesting angle.

There is a new way to go under the stage with link: Go far off the ledge and you must have a bomb and just zair and press down one time and jump twice and include your up special. And then the bomb will go off and you will be able to do it again.
