Good ingame team ideas for Turtwig?

So I recently picked up my platinum again recently and I decided to pick turtwig. I also would prefer not to use pokemon who evolve via trading. Oh yeah please do not recommend pokemon of the shinx line either. I really don't want to use that line three times in a row.
My current pokemon are turtwig and starly

Well, ingame, it doesn't matter (like, at all) how does your team looks, as long as you have a good level is good enough, but I would say that getting a fast Ice type (or an Ice type with Ice priority move) would be key for the endgame
Also, catching Giratina is important

Other combos for ingame teams

Hippowdon + Garchomp
Garchomp is like one of the best Pokémon in the game when sand is up, but that same sand can be your doom in the endgame

Abomasnow + Froslass
Same concept... not as OP, but it doesn't mess up the endgame

There is actually a "Ingame tier list" which rates how good are certain Pokémon for the ingame, in how early you get them, how usefull they are, TM and HM they learn, stats, etc.
