Hi!

Well i have Pokemon X and just started to collect pokemons so i try to get them all. I am interested hov many of you here has finished Pokedex and how long did u need to do it. Also i would like to hear how your proces is going for those who are still try to catch them all.

Well me personaly am at start of the proces and got about 50-ish pokemons and seen 300. So yea i have long way to go.
 
Haha...I actually never finish the dex, I know there are plenty of trainers who do completely finish it, I guess because I love having a living dex but I never manage to complete it. Mostly because I have no one to trade with and the GTS is a ripoff I mean who is going to trade a legendary for Zigzagoon or a Rattata?

Well, GTS is realy not so great when i look on it. Probably the best way i see is if u trade with someone directly u know or meet online. But the probleme here is that you realy dont know if the pokemon is hacked or not. And also there is some dilema if you want to catch them all by yours self. I will try to get as most of them alone as possible. Yea, i know that some i can not get, but i hope all i can get in one version, that i get them. Will try tho :)
 
Ive got a living dex apart from the event legends. Ive got over 400 hours on my Pokémon x now but that's including the main game and competitive mons training.
I had to use the GTS a lot and get the final evos then breed for the first ones. It takes a long time tho. I went through a period where I was doing a box a day and then times where I wouldn't go near the thing. transferring from older games via Pokebank is much easier tho. I done all of gen 2-4 Pokémon through that and got half of gen 5 done that way. My advice is to just stick with it and decide of a set number of Pokémon to get a day and stick with it
 
never actually completed a dex before until X. it was surprisingly easy with the gts. of course, this was before it was completely broken. but i even managed to get the legends via gts. (though just for their entry since i was just waiting for pokebank at the time while my legends were on my black/white) x/y have a lot of pokemon available on thier own and being able to search for pokemon in the gts as long as you know thier name is a godsend. the real pain was just evolving everything. that, combined with my stalking of the gts racked me up almost max play time.
 
Yea, i am going trough map, try to catch every hing i see new ot not catched. So i get most of pokemons like that, will go next to safari friend code and the last on gts. I hope it will be quick. But probably i will need alot of my free time, that i dont have by the way :) Atm i have catched 147 pokemons, yea yea i know that like so not alot, but it is start. Hehehehe

Oh wait, that's for the Hoenn dex.
For the whole thing (719 Pokémon), it took me 1 month, 3 weeks, and 4 days. The last I had to get was Meloetta(which I got here).

GTS is actually useful, as long as you're the one that deposits. I used it by depositing OR exclusives on GTS and asked for X/Y/AS exclusives.
