All you PC gamers out there, take out your wallets this Fall and tell Steam to shut up and take your money, :angelic:

Do you think the PC version will live up to its console brothers? Are you getting GTA5 for PC?

wow, I didn't expect it to become a PC game. Guess it's really good then. Lucky PC gamers! this is a good move, since some people may not have the other consoles that this game is played on. Take advantage everyone! :p

I'm not sure though, I don't think it will do better the console versions (mainly because of ease of use of controls).

This is almost month-old news there, Marc :panda:

Despite getting a PC in a month I'll be getting it on my Playstation 4. My PC is going to become a hub for last gen games I missed :angelic:

I have never played this game and won't be able to because my laptop can't run it, but my best friend raves about it all the time (or used to anyway, I think I'm gonna prod him into doing it again, he's been busy these days :p) and I basically know the whole story of GTA V because he would tell me the story and the scenes that would happen and how you go after the tennis coach and bla bla bla and like a good friend I would listen attentively. :)

He also told me that I remind him of Trevor, who's insane. :panda:

Well, I guess PC gamers can be happy now. GTA IV came out late for the PC too, guess Rockstar don't love the PC that much :p

That's nice... for people who spent much money to build their computer.
Same here, won't be able to run it, and wasn't planning on getting it anyway (and if I was, that would be for console), because most of the games that are now ported to the PC start requiring more power than the console herself.
(I'm not lying, check Watch Dogs for instance. They can make it run on a 360, but see, you can't run it on your PC unless you have a i5 and 6-8Gb of RAM)

Yeah, that's true, but that's always been the case.

For example, Scarface: The World Is Yours can run on a 400 MHz PS2, but the minimum system requirements list a 1.8 GHz process for the PC version, and horror of horrors, when I did install the PC version on a 2.4 GHz computer, it was all messed up and unplayable because the computer's video card wasn't the most expensive thing on the planet.

The ports are almost like emulations of the games, which is why they require more power and this is why when a game is ported to a less powerful console (e.g when Tomb Raider Legend was ported from the PS2 to the PSP) the frame-rate and such suffer.

If the developers weren't so lazy and made the PC version a little more from scratch, then it wouldn't have require such powerful computers and would sell better as people with inferior PCs would be able to buy it.

By the way, I read a few months ago in Reader's Digest that Grand Theft Auto V earned three billion dollars in its first three days of release. Three billion dollars. Suck it, Avatar :rotfl:

I think it will have a lazy port again, but I will wait a summer sale for that title...
It will be $60 now and next year it will be around $10, so... yeah...

Then you are really missing out on some of the new PC exclusives that are coming out. take Arma III, for example. It is next gen, and there are so many things you can do in it.
I am not going to buy this game, because I am not really into GTA games.
I hope the port will be as good as the console version, with mod support to make it better. Every GTA game is 10x better with mods.

Well, not really. You can install mods to make it like new.

Yeah, but mods don't make a game next gen :p

I think I'll give this game a shot after some good mods have been released for it. While I generally like open-world games, something set in the real world is less interesting than a whole new fantasy world. However, if some creative mods really spice up the overall environment and gameplay, then I might just give the game a try.

I'll get it when it comes down to £20, but I'm looking forward to modding the hell out of it
