SSB for 3DS Greninja pivot?

I don't know how how to perfect pivot yet, but when I was training with Greninja, when I used his Up Special, up then down instantly, he moved a bit forward. So for you pro Smashers, can Hydro Pump be used similarly like wavedashing?
 
I think so, yeah. I main with greninja and you can use the hydro pump to go all the way forward to the right instead of going up then down and stuff. It took me a while to get the hang of it but if you do up b while starting to turn the circle pad to the right just as you touch b geninja will go only to the right with his full hydro pump instead of going up as well
