So, you are stuck in the last chapter. Garon is too powerful. Not even your avatar can kill him. Well, fear no more, because there is a method for you. Isn't the best method, but the least complex and doesn't have so many requirements! No paid DLC either.
You will need:
Character that can stand, let's say, "kinda tough" enemies. Enemies that are at a level of a boss, but a average dificulty to beat boss. If you want me to be more especific, those promoted enemies with a 39-43 HP.
The Before Awakening DLC (free though)
Ok, so here goes.
First, choose your characters. You can only grind for five characters at once, so choose wisely. Have two pairs that you want to mate and a strong character for backup if all die.
Second, start battle. Simple step.
Third, go to the enemy reach zone. The space that the enemy will attack you. This will make them suffer to your blade, so you can have those juicy exp points and supports.
Fourth, enjoy life. Basically leave that pair there for the time you want. The enemies will die, so you will get exp for some time.
Fifth step depends on your actions.
The first thing that can happen is: your pairs get the exp and supports you wanted. It is time to act, they have been standing for enough time. You want to massacre everybody that is in the map (except Frederick, Chrom and Lissa if they are alive, because it is impossible.) and then it is done.
The second thing that could happen is, you are that stubborn lousy guy that makes you units suffer in the battlefield. Well, your units will die. You will need to use your backup unit, and make a massacre. Hey, at least the backup guy got some exp.
When you return, you should have leveled up at least once your characters, and depending on the ammount of enemies your pairs killed, you have raised a level of relationship. Remember, there are better methods, but this one is less complex and requires few conditions.
Oh, and Challenges and Scouting are only for your trashy or average-ish units like Mozu and Felicia.
