Guess which Pokemon X/Y starter will be half fairy

We can't know yet if any of the starters will end up with a Fairy type during their evolutions, but its highly likely.

If so, which one do you think will get it?

Froakie gets my vote.

I don't think we're going to see a Fairy type with one of the starters (evolved form). Then again, Game Freak can surprise me, My vote goes to Chespin.

It looks like Fennekin will become part Psychic when it grows up. As for which X/Y starter would gain a Fairy subtype, I agree with Marc on Chespin.

My prediction is the secondary types being physic, dark, and fighting, so each starter would have an advantage against both of the other ones. I'm kind of surprised GameFreak has yet to do that.

Chespin looks like it would evolve into a dark type. Fennekin becoming a psychic type and Froakie becoming a fighting type doesn't seem too far-fetched. So yeah, I could see that.

Although we obviously can't make any assumptions and put them on the Fennekin page, would it be safe to say that it is a Fire/Psychic type? The move that it used against the Kirlia in the trailer looked a lot like a psychic type move.

Maybe that's the reason. I'd like to watch that trailer again to see for myself

It looked more like a dark attack to me. It would also make more sense to use a dark attack against Kirlia than a psychic one.

I can see that, but I really hope they don't make a fighting type. I think fighting is overdone, and I'd like to see some unique starters.

Yup each of them has a strong point and weak point in a triangle, it would have been cool though

Part of me wishes Chesnaught was part dark and Greninja was part fighting. That way you'd also have the reverse triangle like Gen 4 kind of had. That's not to say the typings of the final evolutions were bad though!
