Hades came out a while ago for the Nintendo Switch. It's an action RPG with roguelike dungeons. You basically ignore your father's warnings and climb to get out of the underworld. If you die, you start over.

As you progress, you'll randomly get messages from gods and get a taste of some of their power. These are called Boons and you'll have to choose between 3 with each encounter. The more levels you clear, the more Boons you get.

You'll have to build up your character strong enough to defeat the minions and bosses during your ascent. There are permanent upgrades that help with this. New weapons are unlocked the more you play, although there isn't many. You'll still have a decent amount to choose from.

Hades Gameplay Trailer:

I have to say, I really enjoyed playing Hades. The fresh set of voice acting really kept me engaged while I was climbing through the biomes. The game did replayability darn good IMO. You'll be doing a lot of runs regularly until you reach the top.. and maybe more.

What do you guys think about Hades?

It’s a game I’ll have to check out. I’ve had good experiences with roguelites, and the art style and voice acting give this one some distinction in the genre. I also like mythological settings and characters, and Hades has that in spades.

Plus there’s God Mode that gives you incremental defensive protection, which sounds like a great way to help people just as much as they need instead of just giving you a huge boost that lets you skate through the game.

You should try bastion if you liked hades. It's made by the same person. Bastion isnt a roguelike but its still fun.

I like the animation and the voice acting. :3c
Interesting premise, and I like the humor of the trailer.

I wonder what magical ability combinations are possible with the real-time combat? I like the laser one.

This game seems unique and entertaining.

I like that you can just renovate sections of Hell. XD

That game lookin spicy. Definitely a game I should try. Kinda reminds me of abyss mode in Rivals of Aether but with a different genre of game. If there's a sequel it could have Pit from Kid Icarus in it. No? Just me? Best soundtrack of any indie game though I'll give them that point.
