Are you happy or disappointed with Mario Kart 8? Are you happy with the way it turned out or were you expecting something a bit more? What are your thoughts?

I was truly amazed at how well done this game is. Have you seen the level of detail that has been placed in it? Gameplay is very solid and never fails me. The courses are very creative and fun to play in (SUNSHINE AIRPORT FTW!). The character roster is a bit okay, but that doesn't matter to me. The only thing that disappointed me was the lack of actual battle courses, but I was completely happy with what I got.

I'm moderately disappointed, but eh. I was hoping anti gravity would impact the gameplay more but it doesn't really.

Game is too similar to Mario Kart 7, and I've had my fill of it.

I was happy, though, as Nana said, I was hoping anti-grav would be a more different from regular racing than it is, but I'll let it slide. Its a really fun game, imo.

I'm quite happy! Any "disappointments" I have are pretty nitpicky and inconsequential. I think everyone should have Mario Kart 8, even if they need to buy a Wii U special for it. :)

It's not as amazing as I thought it would be but that was mainly because there was so much hype surrounding the game. I am very happy with what we do have. It's quite annoying seeing people on other forums complain about every little thing regarding Mario Kart 8, like when people say it's disappointing that it has only 32 tracks. What were you expecting? People act like every new release is the ultimate game in the series, when in reality it's just another game so they expect far too much out of it. If this game were literally perfect like everyone expected, then Nintendo wouldn't be able to improve in the next game.

I love Mario Kart 8! I've loved Mario Kart ever since I first played Mario Kart Wii, and have loved every Mario Kart game, which I currently have 5 (I think) Mario Kart games.
-Mario Kart 8
-Mario Kart 64
-Mario Kart Wii
-Mario Kart 7
-Mario Kart DS

I am happy about the racing related things but not the balloon they should had more stages for it

I really enjoy Mario Kart 8, its got a bunch of cool features: anti-gravity, gliding and underwater driving returns, the Boomerang Flower, Piranha Plant, and Super Horn make their debut as new items. The part that was really disappointing was the battle mode, sometimes its hard to find opponents.

I feel Mario Kart 8 is the best Wii U game I ever played.
The racing is faster and more intense and even get me started with the HD presentation!

The Anti-Gravity was cool and really twisted the usual rules of Mario Kart in a really cool and clever way.

Online Racing is a lot more appealing to me as I have the option to race with people with the same skill level as me and the option to make a room was a really amazing idea for actually meeting up with my Miiverse friends.

Mario Kart TV is also a cool feature as I can upload my best races to YouTube/Miiverse and It feels good to manipulate and slow down my replays.

All in all, I'm really happy with this game.
I hope Nintendo takes the positives of this game and improves on them to make the next Mario Kart even better!
This game was awesome in my opinion

I am extremely happy with Mario Kart 8! Although, MK8 Rainbow Road is a slight disappointment. Other than that, this game is great, just as all the others were! :D

I'm happy with the game. Not so much with balloon battle though. As for racing, I'm okay with it but I would have preferred if they allowed us to select ANY track when playing against randoms over Wi-Fi.
I feel Mario Kart 8 is the best Wii U game I ever played.
It's currently my favorite Wii U game, :headphone:

Mario Kart 8 is now my favorite Mario Kart game of all time, the anti gravity mechanic is amazing, so many potentials for new race tracks, tons of shortcuts, more things to do in the game, now they added DLC and i'm more happier than before, hope in NX, they will make Mario Kart 9 Good or even better than Mario Kart 8. Mario Kart 7 barely got me enjoyed since some of the items are bed, like the tanoki leaf that protects you from any attacks but i prefer the bananas to protect me from the shells.

I am extremely happy about this game. It ha s an excellent cats of characters and many memeorable race tracks. It was one of the best mario kart games I have have ever played, and I actually did enjoy the inline battle mode. He online racing was also enjoyable, with hardly any lag to be seen. This game deserves a spot amongst the best racers ever. It stunning. Graphics and music make it all the better along with its amazing retro tracks, my favorite of which being. Moo moo meadows. Nintendo deserves a big thumbs up from me out of this game. Bravo!

The game is very fun and replayable, and I can't say about any disappointments other than Battle Mode and some inclusions in the roster(Diddy Kong and Bowser Jr. would have been much better options than two of the nine new characters here),but other than that,I'm pretty happy with what we got in the end. :D

Nothing really dissapointed me majorly in this game at all. The small, tiny little nitpick I have, is about the antigravity. It didn't really add much to the gameplay as it says it is, but I wouldv'e loved to see the karts upside down. It really didn't have anything I expected it to be.
