Happy Pokemon Day, you guys! Wow. 21 years ago, Nintendo made something that would touch the hearts of gamers the world over. Now, 21 years later, it's no surprise that it's still going strong. Pokemon is such an amazing game series. So, I just made this post to say, 21 YEARS OF POKEMON! Are you guys hyped that Pokemon has been around this long? I sure am!

• Catch a Pikachu with a party hat in Pokemon Go. It knows the move "Present"!
• Get the Fire Red/Leaf Green trainer clothes on Go
• Watch the I Choose You: 20th Movie on Pokemon.com
• Get new Snapchat filters (Bulbasaur!!)
• Get Pikachu Talk on Google Home and Alexa
• Get new Gallery Figures from the Pokemon Center starting today

I do sort of wish there was something going on for the mainline series, but we're already getting the Legendary events this year, so I can see why they didn't do anything. Was also hoping they'd release an announcement for the Pokemon Switch game!

I think what @Ace meant was the lack of third installments like Crystal, Emerald and Platinum since Gen V. Ace wants third installments back instead of two more titles tacked onto a generation or no third installment at all like XY. I agree.

B/W 2 was an entirely different game, though! It had a totally different story line taking place two years after the original B/W and had more places to visit/things to do. Comparing B/W 2 to USUM isn't really fair, since there was a lot more thought put into the Gen 5 sequels. If anything, USUM is more like the third installments to the games, just broken into two parts. The criticism is valid, but it's makes more sense to ask why they don't just release the third installment first. Which is supposed to be to encourage trading between games, but probably also so you have to buy the new versions. Don't get me wrong, I love USUM, but I do feel a little cheated we didn't get more to it!

Even if they are different when it comes to story it doesn't matter. Black 2/White 2 could have just as easily been Gray, just as USUM could've been Stars.

Yea B2W2 was a thing, but Gray and or Gray 2 would have been cool too.

So Pokémon has been here for 22 years now? Even though I haven't played Pokémon for quite a while, I'm still glad that it still stays strong, because Pokémon is part of my childhood, after all.
