has anyone did anything dumb in smash

The only thing I've did that was dumb in smash was I have a 3ds with no rubber on the circle pad which kinda makes playing smash a little hard but anyways me and some friends were doing a gannadorf match and we both had one stock on one platform and he worlk punch I tried to doge left game though I went to the right and lost the match

I've done the same thing a few times. I've self destructed with kirby by using his down b once or twice or maybe 15 times xD

• Failed teleport recovery from Zelda, or teleporting off the stage
• Backslash down to death xD
• Since I like using tether recoveries like Link (Clawshot), Toon Link (Hookshot), Samus (Plasma Whip thing), sometimes I too far of range so I end up dying whereby a normal recovery could have saved me It's kinda risky for recovery but it looks cool (I know that it'll only work 3 times before touching ground)

Same with Fox. One time, when I fought Lythero with Toon Link, I SD myself with my dair.

Anyway, I was in For Glory 1v1. I was Meta Knight and my opponent was a Marth. Marth's first stock was gone quickly. Then l died once from his Smash attack.

Now both on 1 stock left, but my damage was zero and Marth's was 100-something%. Marth was at the left corner of the stage, I used the tornado move and went towards him, but he down shield it causing l to fly passed him. My tornado stopped right at the edge, but I failed to grab the edge and died.


So Marth won at 100-someething% and I lost on 0%.

That's impossible everyone screws up even the slightest detail in smash like miss calculate an attack

Multiple times since I play on a very old 3ds sometimes the c-pad sometimes angle slightly or angles very slowly making me do tilt moves when I try to do smashes (I really need a ''new'' Nintendo 3ds

Wrong. Then you are saying life is a mistake. Mind if I borrow this comment for my Smash theory blog series? That is a very solid argument although philosophically that is all up to opinion in terms of "winning the game" so say you lost that means if you were good enough you lost because you lost fairly or you lost unfairly like using lag or someone takes advantage of your mental weakness. In general everyone now and then may think what they did was dumb in and out of the game and naturally you should be inclined to agree however everyone has their own opinion but in my opinion no one has. It's different for every person and experience.

Well...doing dumb thins is sort of the key to victory in smash. Like Jumping off the stage to falcon punch a player who is obviously not coming back to the stage either way...

If SDing repeatedly in my early matches (by accident, honest) by using Zero Suit Samus's [Air+Down+A] move counts, I did that a lot. In my desperation to get back at the dude who flung me up, I'd shoot straight down off the stage.

I have dodge rolled into a falcon punch. Not knowing that out could have it strike left or right I dodge rolled behind him to the right and he turned around and I took a whole falcon punch, I have also ran into other moves like falcon kick and other moves that dash at you or projectiles...I wouldn't say I'm a pro at combos or the game but I can handle lol.

Got a new one. I was playing against a friend he was using Game&Watch and i used pac-man. I tried using the pitfall glitch on him( if you guy's don't know what that is. It happens when pac-man uses his up b and once his opponent lands on it uses the up b again causing his opponent to fall through the stage.) And he forced me into my own pitfall glitch XD.

I've done quite a few dumb things, most of them involve spamming in one way for example i used to go around and spam little mac like cray, same goes for charizard and pikachu. I often accidently kill myself whenever im jigglypuff or king de, and other countless things

Yes I tried to jump over my opponent and land at the bacck to punch and kick him. Instead I landed on the edge of the platform and fell off. Knocking myself out of the game. Now I wish that I could of done somthing better because I lost the game because of that stupid stunt that failed.

I fell off the platform when there was 3 seconds left in the battle, and it was tied before I fell. So therefore I gave away the game instead of it going into sudden death like it should have.
