Has anyone here played star ocean

I found a game guide for it at a garage sale awhile ago. The artwork and storyline seem pretty interesting, has anyone here played it?

I've played the most recent Star Ocean: The Last Hope, for the Xbox 360. I actually really liked that game. It was a long one that I could truly enjoy the narrative and story.

no, but I've heard it's good. Might pick it up if I find it for the PS3 (only if it's for that console too!) xD

I just started Last Hope International on PS3 the other day haven't gotten far at all yet, last SO game i played was the one on PS2 and didn't finish it before my PS2 died.

I have played Star Ocean: First Departure, Star Ocean: Till The End of Time and Star Ocean: The Last Hope. I enjoy the series well enough, despite the weak story at times. The games are definitely not the most solid story-wise or character-wise, but I find them to be decent games and I do like them. The battle system is quite fun and there's always a character or two that I love enough to offset the poor quality of the other characters.

I do own Star Ocean: Second Evolution, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet.
