Have you ever finished a single game of Monopoly?

For my 11th birthday, I was given a Monopoly board.

I have never finished a single game on it. We would try so often to play it but it was really awful, I remember the first time we played, we started playing at 7-8 PM and at 11 PM we said, dang it, this is never going to end, and gave up.

We'd throw money at the older sister, who was determined to keep the game going, and said, "Take all our money, just let us go!"

Have you ever managed to finish a game of Monopoly? I'll just stick with chess now.

I have, at least once. It took a really long time though, because there were at least 6 of us. You could tell we were really determined and fully focused in the game. I think the longest match was around 3 hours, if I remember correctly. Other times we would just give up the game because you need to have the patience and time to play it fully. I'd stick to having less players because that would mean actually having a winner by the end of the game.

I got one for last Christmas and the last Christmas before that,so I have two monopoly board games.I won a couple of times nd the game lasted like for about 15 mins since two of us were playing but I don't play such childish games anymore.

I've finished a couple. I had an electric monopoly board, the one with all the credit cards instead of paper money, from two years ago. My shortest match was like under an half hour mainly because there were only two people. The longer match took like 1-2 hours when there were 4 people playing and we just watched tv while playing.

I have i like monopoly a lot (btw i am not counting the McDonalds one ) but i have finished the game More than once but it usally takes a couple of days, i start one day then stop for a while (get sick of it xD) and then sometime else go back to finish it.

I finished multiple times. I remember one time when we played it with the whole family on my granddads birthday (which is also Christmas day). It took forever and some gave up but me, my dad, my granddad and a couple others kept playing. It's one of my favourite boardgames actually. If you're worried about not finishing the game you can always play with the quick game rule-set.

Only once and it was by force (it was for a grade at school) I don't particularly enjoy the game because it does tend to drag on and mostly people I play with become hostile when it comes to territory that you can buy.

Nowadays no one plays monopoly since it has become stale,if you know what I mean since grown ups no longer play the fun game and so as well as me,now I think there just on their phone or something playing a better fun game like sub way surfer or dumb ways to die.

I've played Monopoly on the computer, and that's actually more fun for me. Depending on whether you play with bots or people who aren't slow, it can go by fairly quickly. As far as real Monopoly goes though, I've finished a couple, but none really finished without somebody flipping over the gameboard..xD #competitivefamilygamenight

I love Monopoly! Me and my sister always play every weekend and we do not stop until We finish the game no matter what! We were always competing would will get bankrupt first

I day i played it like 5 times with my family and finished it all 5 times. Next day we continued to play. Idk why it played it so much, guess it was the most fun thing to do

Nope its kind of impossible for me or my friends to finish ONE game. We play for more than an hour and we never realize it. Then when we look at the time, one of my friends gives up and tosses the money to the banker. Then some more peolpe give up and it's the end of the game. So basically its hard to finish a single Monopoly game.

I only finished a game once, it took almost two whole hours, but we did it! I ended up winning in the end due to some unlucky rolls by my sister We still felt soo proud of ourselves for doing this

No. I once played Monopoly with my family, and it turned out to last just too long. (From 9PM to midnight), Turns were taking like, 30 minutes, I just had bad luck (as usual when it comes to game with luck factor), and I had my DS near me to play online during they were planning what they were going to do.

At the end, I just threw the money in the middle of the board and I went to bed, because this game got really boring. Even Nintendo and Square Enix's take on this game were more interesting (for those who don't know what I'm talking about, I'm referencing a Wii game called Fortune Street/Boom Street (name varies depending if you're a NTSC or a PAL guy)).

I actually have, a few times! If we played as an entire family, or if I played with just my younger brother, or just my eldest sister, we would usually quit the game out of frustrations or boredom. However, if I started a game with my other sister, we always played until the end. Even if the game started at 10am and went till like 3 in the afternoon. We always finished a game. And I always lost. You think at one point I would've realized the properties or money she was giving me in return for properties I owned wasn't a good deal, but no. Always made the trade lol. Always ended up broke.

Holy crap this awnsers my thing Iv'e been needing to tell people about my story of monopoly!!
Ok so like I once played with my dad on like fathers day or something and the whole game start to finish roughly took about FOUR HOURS! There was this one time during the game where I was totally about to bankrup him and win and he does this cool thing where he morgages all of his places except for 3 and he puts houses and hotells on them so if I landed on them I'd be down about $1,000 per space!! Believe it or not his plan actually worked! I landed on it alot of times and was down about 50K, and like right when I'm about to go bankrupt I did his idea and morgaged all of my properties excpet the boardwalks and put the stuff on him. But it backfierd and I went bankrupt before I could have my second-serving of revenge. Now we don't really play it, not because he isn't here, or dosen't have time, or dosent care, he just knows that it will take FOREVER to get through with. Sorry for repeating myself but FOUR HOURS + TWO PLAYERS = INSANITY!!!!!! Trust me, the next time you play monpoply be sure not to play with people who will/can screw you over. Like my awesome dad.
