If you are a Guitar Hero/Rock Band or really just a rhythm game fan, then you will love this.

Phase Shift is a rhythm game based on Guitar Hero/Rock Band that lets you play songs on your PC! You can even add songs! (I have like 1500 songs) You can even run it on a potato, you just need to lower the settings. If you still have peripherals from past Guitar Hero/Rock Band games, you can play with them, except for vocals (not yet implemented, but there's lyrics above the tracks), so you can play guitar, drums, bass, keys, etc. If you don't have any, you can always play with the keyboard.

You know, more than 7 years ago, a game called "Frets On Fire" was released. While it didn't have many songs (it had ~20), it was the same, you could use the peripherals from older GH / RB games or just pick up your keyboard and play using the "F" buttons. Still, a newer one sounds great! Has it been released yet or is it an upcoming one?

I know about Frets on Fire, but Phase Shift is so good, I couldn't go back to FoF. You can even apply themes to it, a feature already done in FoF but done amazingly here. I have a RB2 theme myself. You can even play online with lots of people. It also has gameplay mechanics from Guitar Hero, like extended sustains and having 4 players at once play the same instrument. It even has career mode if you want to play all the songs in order! Overall, it's a great game and I recommend it to anyone who likes Guitar Hero/Rock Band, like me :d

It had a lot more than 20 songs. Just in my FoFiX's songs folder I have 10658 files, and even if some songs are duplicated, and even if you need more than one file for one song, I'm pretty sure the amount of songs in that folder is a lot more than 20. And that's just my folder.

Well, you can do that too in FoFiX, i spent a whole year doing a theme
And I have a RB2 theme too.
Same for the gameplay mechanics and the Career Mode, they come from Guitar Hero too.
The only thing that FoFiX may lack from your list is the online multiplayer mode (not sure if it's there), and I agree that it seems like a great feature

Anyways, if I ever had to play a game like that again, I'm pretty sure I'll try Phase Shift because FoFiX seems like a dead project with no future improvement... So thanks for sharing
