Haha the old zelda games are so great but yeah kind of annoying.

Well, first of,you have the nice "where do i even have to go?" feeling, then you respawn on the same point any time, not matter where you died. Some items are hidden in almost impossible to find spots and your sword is useless against the FIRST boss,as soon you lose just one single heart. The overworld enemies tend to bein your way most times. There also are empty dungeon rooms, just to troll you.

Yea. A Link to the Past had no form of defense 'cause you can't use your shield (unless there is a shield you can use that I am unaware of). You always respawn at the same location which stinks, and oh, there's always the battle with Trolldorm. God, I hate that boss. He's just there to annoy you. The games are great but trolley in a sense.

1.Link to the Past had a shield
2.Link to the past is on the SNES,not NES

Oh. Could never get them straight.

Old Zelda games are pretty darn tricky with their puzzles sometimes. Take for example Link's Awakening, I remember spending almost half an hour at the Bottle Grotto trying to figure out how to get the door to open. Turns out you had to throw a bottle at it -_- Some of those puzzles aren't ever in the recent LoZ games xD

Ugh. That creep prostitute who asks for water and invites you in to her house. Yeesh, I thought that was a game for kids!

Can I ask which game and character was that? I don't exactly remember xD
The well and the Shadow Temple can pretty much creep anyone out xP (Dungeon designs and monsters)

Oh, I never reached too far in that game since it was too hard :panda:
Apparently the older games were a lot harder than the newer ones, though much of the other games during those times were in some way difficult too.

Yeah, I don't know if it's the pixelation or the screen resolution or what, but I really had a hard time with the older Zelda games, too. For me, most NES/SNES games were difficult. That said, they were really interesting.

The game is REALLY fun, don't get me wrong. My bad habit with rushing through the dungeons.....always miss the items. See? The bosses usually don't require the recently required weapon.

i love how you get an bow in the first dungeon, but have to buy arrows to use it,instead of arrows being there in the first place

Those are some problems, alright. No one ever does the temples in order when they play through the game, lol. If they did, it would be a lot longer of a process.

Oh, and 3 heart challenge? Forget it. xD

While I do enjoy the older Zelda games, you are quite right in saying that they often throw in screwballs that are not present in the newer 3D installments. This is especially prevalent and noticeable in the first Zelda as well as Zelda 2. Some of their puzzles simply would not work in 3D.
