I think digital is a lot more convenient and I don't need discs anymore since I don't do stuff like lan parties, etc.

My question is have any of you found some method to swap your disc based wii u game for its digital counterpart? I know nintendo doesn't do anything like that, but it doesn't hurt asking if people have come up with a way to do that. The Digital Deluxe Promotion is very nice!

Welcome to the community!

Though I don't mind digital, I really don't want physical copies of games to stop being made, because I like to own physical copies and I hope it remains an option in the future when digital completely takes over.

I try to go physical every time I can. I like the fact that I can trade , sell or let my friends borrow copies of my games. I'm not against digital I just would rather psychical . Plus I can find better deals in stores or online for physical copies more so than waiting on sales on the eshop.

I'm a digital guy, first because it's cheaper for me and second because I'm too lazy to search the disc and swap it.
Still, using an external disk have its benefits: less noise from the console and nice loading times.

If I was on USA, considering you can get a Wii U game on sale for $13 online, I would go for physical for sure.

if u ask me it depends on the type of person you are or the game for example lets take pokemon x its a big file on the eshop if u dont expect to sell the game or if ur gonna play it alot for multiplayer then i would download it but if its a nice single player game like zelda then i would buy the cart

I'm a physical person because I love having the box and Manuel :3 Though I do really like digital games. :3 Sometimes I'll want a digital game, sometimes I'll want a physical game, it all just depends on what the game is. A game like Tomodachi Life or Animal crossing would be good on digital cause it's a pick up and play game :3

I am a physical copy person, I like to collect my games, so I can show off the cases to friends that come over. Plus I can loan my games out to friends that want to play my games.

I like both but sometimes digital is more convient.
I bought ACNL digitally but bought Pokemon Y physically.
The only way to recover a digital game is transferring and to me i dont feel like transferring(lazy), while I can just switch game carttidges or discs when your system breaks.

I would but I made the foolish mistake of saying I am 15 than 18 so now I can't get games ssuch as Bayonetta 2 which quite honestly bothers me, I cant even change the settings to make mme 18 so I'm stuck with it which makes me sad.

That and it's cheaper for me to purchase games via digital marketplace here since they're overpriced in local stores and I don't really want to go through the hassle of ordering the games online (every time) and having 'em shipped to my house.

It also beats going to the store when I can pick the game up at midnight on release,
I like the fact that I can trade , sell or let my friends borrow copies of my games.
^ These are the only reasons why I prefer physical copies of a game. I don't really care about manuals tbh :/

I do whatever is convient for me at the time. if i dont want t go find a disc and it looks like a game i will really like, i will got digital. but i also like physical for the fact i can bring it to my friends house and play there. that and 32 GB is really small i've noticed

I prefer physical since it doesn't take up storage space on the Wii U, but considering where I live, digital purchases are a godsend.

Prefer digital, mostly because where I live it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to get physical and ordering online brings me headaches up to this day. Had plenty of troubles with that.
Wish digital games were at least a little bit cheaper, though...

I like physical copies more than digital ones but the matter is that in my country, physical copies are far too expensive than those in the eshop. Besides I found a web site in which the physical copies have a more reasonable price than the ones in my country. The matter with this site is that it belongs to China. Fortunately the games arrive as well but sometimes it takes more than 20 days to arrive and the only thing you can do is just wait for it. So I am starting to consider buying digitally from now on

I will stick with physical Wii U games, because I like having a collection generally with all consoles that I have in my possession, and I can let others borrow my games or just trade or sell them. The Wii U has a lot of space built in so, I may consider at least one digital game (only if it's on offer, eShop/GAME are so expensive to buy from) :dead:

Welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay at this fantastic community :). I prefer physical Wii U games because, I know, someday my Wii U will break down, and I will have trouble remembering my NNID. I prefer physical because I actually feel like I own them, whereas digitally, you could forget your password, and Nntendo never returns back the games you bought with your hard earned money. I also like showing off the game cases ;D and It would be weird... just not having any game cases.

Digital copies of games is Nice to have, but I have to og With physical. I think my shelf looks really Nice With the covers, and we can sell, swap and borrow games With friends. I mostly use eshop for indie games, since retailers take up so much more Space. The only retailer game I have digital is hyrule Warriors, because it was cheaper on the eshop than the stores

I like physical games better. You can showcase your collection to your friends on a shelf when they come over and you get more physical games on sale. I don't have a lot of digital games because they are all stored on one small sd card which if I lose then I lose everything. Also I don't like the download times

Physical games are better so that it doesn't take up your Wii U memory and just by looking at the so many collections of games you have if you go physical!

I had been purchasing games digitally there for a while (about 2 years) but I just recently stopped. Having the physical copy just feels good.
