ever been on holiday? where did you go? did you enjoy it? how long did you go for? =D

went to Adelaide and Melbourne for various reasons, both are nice places

My only "holiday" was my recreational trip to the USA during Christmas Week in 2008. The lack of several inches of snow during my time there was absolutely astonishing.

... Incidentally, while I was down there, they got -maybe- what I consider 1cm of snow, whereas at home (Canada) they got a thrashing.

I tend to go to Scotland every year, though I've stopped doing that recently. Last year however I went to Italy, and a couple of years before that I ended up in Germany.

You are very lucky that you get to travel. I've traveled in the past, albeit I didn't really go far (although I did lose an hour so I guess I went far enough). I would like to go overseas and visit Europe at some point in my life.

Yeah, I know. The times I went to Italy & Germany were with school/college, but they were actually some of the best days of my life; lots of fun has had. ;)

I hate going places for non-recreational stuff, not that I really ever have. But there have been those times.

That's good though, at least you enjoyed your time!

Haha, they were more recreational than educational. :p The schools over here tend to put on these things for you to enjoy them, not to actually learn much. For example, although the main point of the Germany one was to improve my German, we actually did things you would normally do as a tourist there. As for the Italy one, that ended up being purely recreational, as over the course of planning it, it became apparent it would be hard to make it educational due to the wide range of age groups that would be attending.

That sounds like fun. Maybe if I ever go to school, I'll have to see if they do cool things like that. Would be a fun holiday to take.
